Jayru (JSnaith's) 3D Trek

As long as your getting better take all the time off that you need, to deal with
those real life issues. Just know we are wishing the best turn out for you.

I had some bad news regarding my own health - basically, they have fixed as much of my heart as possible but nothing further but a replacement can now be done and I'm waiting to hear if I will make the transplant list (gay man in his mid-fifties, with no dependants? Unlikely, but you never know). As you can all imagine, I've had to rethink my priorities. On top of that, my father-in-law had an accident about a month ago and has a traumatic brain injury. We're looking after mum-in-law, so it's very full on at the moment.

I'm looking at putting my Trek works online for everyone to download and enjoy, but I have to admit I haven't looked too far into that. I have been putting some energy back into writing (my main passion, hobby-wise) - but as I say, we have a lot going on at this end. The only reason this message is going out now, is I can't sleep tonight so I'm making use of the time.

Anyway, that's the news - such as it is.

What I can say is - there will be more soon ;-)

I am so sorry to hear about all the heavy setbacks. Here's to hoping you'll make it on that list!

Right, finished doing what I wanted with the Blake's 7 ships - now back to here for a little bit, and then off to do my other passion (writing).

Dusting off the Ranger Class I noticed a few issues, so I'm re-working a few things on the ship:

Updating the saucer and the nacelles, may also play around with the colour scheme and make it more Galaxy Class. Keeping the Ranger-A - this will be a brand new ship of the same class, the USS Constellation NCC-1017-B. I know, I know, Constellation Class exists in Trek Universe. But it's a BIG universe. Let's have a play.

More soon.

As per always, I shall do a few shuttles for this new ship using names like Decker, Masada and Rubinstein. If anyone has better ideas for shuttle names for a USS Constellation I will consider (yes, I did think about using actual constellation names).

My lovely other half has suggested I use the name USS Excalibur NCC-1664-B. Reasoning? Constellation is problematic with there being a class of that name and canonically we have the USS Excalibur NCC-1664-M in the 32nd Century meaning that name and reg were reused. So Excalibur it is :-)

Updates - new pylons in place, updated the nacelles - more work to be done on them (the bussard collectors are getting a makeover), additional phaser array to add to the aft undercut, and then on to new textures and naming of this ship :-)
