But most of Janeways shinning moments she was standing next to Jeri Ryan, mean while Bev was standing along side some old bald dude.

Considering what was at stake with Voyager, I agree with Kate Mulgrew about no long term relationships for Janeway - with the first female captain, the last thing the franchise needed was to risk the show becoming a soapie in space.

Besides, unresolved relationships/sexual tension is way more interesting than the actual relationship - and if you look at the history of Hollywood TV series, there are many series that die soon after the main characters finally get into bed together. The relationship is not exciting and doesn't stimulate the viewers imaginations any longer.

If Voyager had been real life (and it's not - it's just a TV show), things would probably have been different, but this is TV land.

That's certainly a fair point. Even though I'm a J/Cer I was happy with just the sizzle. I am disappointed thought that they didn't go through with what it rumored to be the original storyline for "Workforce" where Chakotay was Janeway's lover on Quarren. The resolution of that experience after the return to the ship would have been a good character arc for the two as they figure out what to do afterwards. They could then end the series with J/C or with other pairings that would make much more sense after J/C was put to bed. Pun intended.

I feel the Janeway/Chakotay sizzle left around mid-season 3. I had a really hard time after that point seeing the pairing working in any form or fashion.

Have Voyagers I`mmmmm baaccckkkkk.......! Internet has been down for days.... I still saw sizzle in the Jakotay pair espically in last epi.

Hey udat, wondered where the heck you went off to.

J/C sizzle in the last episode? I think Seven kicking the bucket was really what did it for Janeway... both of them.

^ You must be going blind! I saw what i saw! LOL! It could be despair at the loss of love never lived!

It's altogether possible that the only reason janeway went back was to derail Seven and chakotay's relationship since she never bothered to bring the right tools to dispense with the Borg completely with ease. As a dead woman, Seven couldn't fuck up their relationship, and you know she would or just get bored and move onto something knew in her quest to understand all her humanity, so yeah getting the Indian to lean into Kathy's kisses is far easier if he's in an unhappy marriage or lready dumped than competing with an idealized perfection on a fricking pedestal.

He loved her so much that he couldn't live with out her and died from a broken heart.

Fuck me?

Is that "code" for suicide?

Except they never said that. This is the J/Cers sentimental interpretation.

Janeway said to Chakotay's grave: "I know it wasn't easy living all those years without her."

Well, guess what folks? I was widowed 7 years ago, and it hasn't been easy living all those years without him. Doesn't mean I'm not living a life, doesn't mean I haven't moved on. It simply means what it says. It's not easy living with a loss.

That damn j/c propaganda has infested and nested in my brain?

My own fault for not wearing latex gloves while typing any more.
