What's trolling about that question? I for one think Gene would have loved having Terry on his shlong. I know I would have.

I registered on this forum after googling the words, "I hate Jadzia Dax," so you can pretty much expect me to say negative things about her.
Exactly, I couldn't stand Jadzia's ego! At least the terraformer openly admitted he was vain and pretentious. Jadzia never admitted she was, even though it was painfully obvious.1. Dax redefines pretentiousness to an astronomical level-We are supposed to understand that a large part of this attitude comes from having absorbed part of Curzon's personality. The show frequently references how cocky and overconfident Curzon was, so to an extent I tried forgiving Dax for this disenchanting quality. Remember the terraformer in the episode Second Sight? The one who admitted constantly to being a self-absorbed egomaniac? Well that was amusing for maybe half the scenes I watched him. However, with Dax, we're treated to similar levels of egotism, but she holds back just enough in most episodes that I just manage to avoid being nauseated by it. No, wait. I'm always nauseated by it. I just barely avoid throwing up over it.
Again, more of her ego. If it worked for her, she would deny her "Trill-ness." If it worked for her, she would throw that "Trill-ness" is anyone's face.2. We get it! You're Dax!-when people remind her, "But Curzon used to say..." She's always like, "Well I'm NOT Curzon!" But if people say, "Gosh, you're stupid aren't you?" Then she's like, "Um, hello!? I'm Dax?"
OMG, thank you! I thought I was the only one who got really sick and tired of this. It's even worse when Ezri tells Bashir that if Worf hadn't come along, Jadzia would have chosen Bashir to be with. That means she was just stringing him along all that time and making his life miserable, just because she liked playing ultra hard to get and enjoyed hurting him.3. Stop cock teasing Quark and Dr. Bashir-To be fair, every time either of these two come on to Dax, they are pretty damn corny about it. But at least when Kira turns a man down she gets all butch and in guys' faces about it. Dax's style is more like, "Mm, yes we'll see. I may never let you poke me, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't keep trying."

but there was always this part of me that wished that Jadzia had actually hooked up with Sisko. But once Kassidy arrived, that was the end of that thought...
The way I see the whole Trill thing is that relationships change from one host to another--and sometimes very dramatically. Yes, Curzon Dax was like a father to Sisko, but Jadzia herself said "I'm not Curzon." But being that she had Curzon's memories, however, Jadzia knew Sisko better than anyone and knew what made him tick--what he liked and didn't like, his strengths and weaknesses.but there was always this part of me that wished that Jadzia had actually hooked up with Sisko. But once Kassidy arrived, that was the end of that thought...
You don't think that would have been weird since, you know...Sisko always thought of his old man mentor friend whenever he talked to Jadzia?
Even when she hit on him in a completely comedic way in "Fascination" and actually had sex with him (off screen) in one of those Mirror universe episodes (which are purposely ludicrous and not meant to be taken seriously most of the time, except when Mirror Jennifer died, I guess), it just seemed way too creepy to me.

I like "Chrysalis", it is good exactly because it calls Bashir on his immature, stupid behavior with women and shows consequences of his actions.Julian's conduct is one of the reasons I absolutely cannot watch "Chrysalis."
Bashir had way more of an ego and a worse set of sexual ethics than Jadzia did. Who cares if Jadzia was "stringing him along?"
..... Watch Emissary again, and listen to her delivery while she's talking about initially locating the Celestial Temple in the Denorios Belt, and I will pay you $300 to tell me with a straight face that that is even halfway acceptable delivery, rhythm, and tone......
Julian's conduct is one of the reasons I absolutely cannot watch "Chrysalis." And in the early seasons, his behavior towards women IS an embarrassment. Maybe I'm the odd one out, but I find lack of self-control an equally unappealing trait in men, and in women. (While I am only interested in men, myself, when it comes to evaluating a character, that trait is one I find repulsive no matter what.) Presumptiveness and ego are actually very fitting terms for the way Julian acted...he got better in later seasons, somewhat, but those are definitely terms I would apply.
Again, I think I actually would've preferred to see Bashir and Garak--assuming, of course, the relationship could survive the things Garak did in his past, which is in question...AND assuming Bashir were bisexual (Garak I think there's strong reason to suspect WAS bisexual)--in a committed relationship. Now, if that was a relationship that would get abusive or degrading, I wouldn't go for it. But IF it could be a relationship of equals, then I think it would've added strength to Bashir's character as compared to the one-night stands.

I do, I find it dishonest and essentially lieing. It's almost abusive to give false hope to someone and I find it fairly destructive and not exactly the quality of a decent person who cares about others.
Bashir as a cad isn't exactly decent but he's at least open, honest and direct. He wants something so he goes for it, gets knocked back and stops. Jadzia on the other hand pretends to want something and continues to do so just to play her sick game. It shows a distinct lack of regard for others and their emotions.
No.
I hate Jadzia Dax because:
1. She is horribly acted (one facial expression, monotone, wooden delivery of every line, etc.).
2. She is horribly written (not once did she ever say anything worth listening to; her 'jokes' were never funny; her "Curzon did this, Curzon did that statements" can cure insomnia because they are so unbelievably boring to listen to; every one of her lines was a waste of screen-time).
3. She is inherently annoying due to her smug, pompous attitude.
4. She serves no useful function on the show whatsoever; her character is therefore 100% irrelevant. That is why they didn't even bother to replace her with someone who performed the same function that she did (i.e. 'science officer'.) If she was not useless and irrelevant, they would have (yes, I know they cast Ezri, who also is useless and irrelevant to the show, but she did not replace Jadzia's function, because Jadzia had no function). It is very obvious that Jadzia was cast for 'eye-candy' purposes only (even though she doesn't look good anyway, yet inexplicably some people think she does)
5. Her rampant promiscuity does not make her 'cool' or whatever the writers were going for with that, rather it just makes her even worse and more of a joke as a character.
6. Disgustingly, she had the gall to insult a bonafide real-life literary master, Victor Hugo, for allegedly writing 'one dimensional female characters' even though she herself, Jadzia, is one of the very worst and most one-dimensional female characters ever written.
While I never cared for Bashir in the beginning, I do appreciate and grew to like his character through his development and growing in the show.
Garak read as bisexual, to me--possibly gay, but most likely bisexual. To me, though, Bashir's orientation seems more hetero, so he would be the question in that possible pairing. Whether or not he would accept any male advances I'm not sure, and obviously if he didn't, then the idea wouldn't stand.Garak and Bashir getting it on?
I have nothing against homosexuality, but I can't say I'd go for that idea. And I can't see how you'd think Garak was gay or bisexual.
I consider that the actual question posed here and I don't hate the character. And i wanted to see how many fans out there love the character or hate the character
