I want to see a hologram of Admiral Kim, maybe as part of a training exercise.
Just to maintain the meme it then turns out to be a transporter clone of him or sommat who made it and OG (second OG I guess due to the original dying in S1 of Voy) never moved beyond Ensign - should have trigger warninged this post for you...

First, I have long been aware of the existence of the "eternal ensign" crowd, people who take a perverse pleasure in the notion that Harry remained an ensign forever. They may well be the reason why Harry never appeared in Prodigy, got cut from Picard, and was deliberately ambiguous in Lower Decks. Even the later version of that board of heroes in "Starfleet Academy" has deleted his name from it. Clearly, you and yours are a force to be reckoned with in the Trek fandom.

Second, this may seem alien to you (it's clearly alien to all too many people in our culture), but I don't get offended because other people have different opinions than me.

Third, how did this become a meme? Why not Janeway being one of the highest admirals and ordering Jean Luc around despite only having one command?

^ Type "harry kim meme" into Google. You'll get a plethora of memes, most of them poking fun at his eternal ensignhood.

Sorry mate - I meant it entirely tongue in cheek and definitely not a jab at you

Was meant entirely in jest and a friendly manner

You're good. :techman: As I say, I don't get triggered when people relegate Harry to the ensignzone. I am, after all, completely confident in my ability to squash any argument defending it. :p

That was meant to be the joke (quality of the joke obviously not being great) that it doesn't bother you - glad it is cleared up mate

You're not the only one to take shots at Janeway's favorite punching bag. Just look at the 5-word Voyager story.

In any case... I'd still love to see Garrett Wang return as Harry the holographic admiral... but I doubt we'll get that lucky.

All shit jokes aside - it was ridiculous that he was a) dept head and b) never even got Lt JG for building like astrometrics with Seven

The topic has been done to death so won't pollute the thread but just trust me, I'm Team Harry - I just can't help myself with flogging a dead horse of a joke sometimes

The unfortunate truth is that some people just don't tend to get promoted in certain organizations for whatever reason. A long time ago I was that guy.
