I haven't been looking at the Misc forum much these days, so I just saw this.
I'm also quite saddened.
I had been thinking of contacting him to send some transit cards I had accumulated in my travels, since he had mentioned that he collected them.
This has been so upsetting to me, I used to give MLB crap back in the day but we also had a lot of fun chats. It bothers me that we don't know what happened to him. One thing I think about is how much fun he had in the last 10+ years, going to Oktoberfest in Germany with his dad, all his NYC and Canada trips.. he enjoyed his life with great enthusiasm.
Damn, I had no idea he died until someone else happened to casually mention his passing in a completely different forum. Thank you for sharing this news with us.
Rest in peace, Mr. Laser Beam. I'll miss our discussions about baseball and Doctor Who.
Man, I remember him from back in the day. Prolific poster. Sad to hear of his passing.
Strange, isn't it, people we never met these days can affect us just like the people we know in the real world.
I guess his friends and family have been dealing with the grief for a while, but I hope they got through Christmas okay. The first is always the hardest.
