If TOS Was Made Today...

If Star Trek were made today it would probably have a lot more suicide bombers in it.

And Tali-Klingons.

And Osama Bin Khan.

And it's version of 1996 wouldn't have DY-100 class interstellar sleeper ships

I know this isn't TOS but... if TNG, DS9, and VOY were made today, they probably wouldn't have had the Maquis.

It has been done last years Star Trek I don't like it when people bash JJ Abrams Star Trek like what harm did it do?

Hey, man, if you don't like something and you choose to voice your opinion you certainly aren't going to sing a film's praises. You're going to cut it up.

I love TOS and other things even with their flaws. I won't get anywhere getting all hurt and upset over some of the nastiest things people post about things I like.

I liked Abrams Trek but it had so many plot holes it's fun to stick your fingers in them and wiggle them around. Did I say fingers? I meant fists, stick your fists in right up to your elbows actually. The nitpickers guides to the other Trek shows are fun too. There were a LOT of boo boos over the decades but some of NuTreks are howlers.

The '66 Batman was fun...when I was seven years old and didn't know any better. Then I discovered Batman in the comics in the late '60s. Since then the '66 Batman makes me cringe in embarrassment.

Same with ST09.

Ironic since from what I've heard the 60s show was accurate to the source matieral of that time.

The Batman comics did go through a phase like that in the '50s and '60s, but mercifully I wasn't reading them then. Then DC smartened up and brought Batman back to what he was originally and supposed to be.

Watching ST09 was akin to watching the Adam West version of Batman.

Nonsense. The 1966 Batman series was a comedy spoof. It was never meant to be taken seriously.

Seriously Warped, I would expect you of all people with your "TOS is the only Star Trek, Shatner is God" mindset to have understood that.

Shit, I have never said Shatner is God.

ST09 may not have intended to be a comedy spoof, but the end result, well...

Nah, Batman is hilarious. The deadpan humor is pitch-perfect for a story about a man dressed like a bat who fights villains dressed like clowns, penguins, etc. Still my favorite version of the Bat-universe.

... was a rip-roaring blockbuster space adventure! :)

Wait, what was this thread about?
