If SNW only gets 5 seasons as well

the Tight uniform costumes were probably uncomfortable and hard to do anything besides walking a short distance too.

At least they're not as tight like t TNG spandex. Imagine drinking too much coffee whilst wearing one of those lol

Think Sir Patrick was developing back problems with them.

I think that was more due to the S1/S2 uniforms being a one-piece.

I hate to say it, but there’s a nonzero chance that S4 is the end of the road, too. The cast and crew might have been told, but can’t say it publicly anytime soon. As much as that’d suck, it would at least mean they have the benefit of knowing it while it’s in production.

Five minimum is what I’d want, of course. This show deserves seven, dang it.

I too hope we at least get five seasons; but yeah, given the current situation at Paramount Plus I wouldn't be surprised if season 4 is the final season of Star Trek Strange New Worlds.

I feel like there has to be some hint to the audience at some point that Pike's accident isn't the end of his story. They don't have to show the accident and they definitely don't need to remake any TOS, but I think it'll feel incomplete if SNW viewers aren't pointed towards The Menagerie.

I've been thinking the last scene of SNW should be Spock wheeling Pike to the Talosians after the events of the Menagerie.

Can we please, please update the beep chair? We know in 2025 how to merge man and machine, use brain waves to control sensors and computers. The 'Once for yes' light just sucks and will drag if presented in the original TOS style in SNW.

But they wouldn't be able to respect the almighty canon if Pike could say more than yes or no.

I'm still betting the last scene of the last episode will be shot on the TOS set tour bridge, after a "refit" and will have the new Kirk send them off to do TOS. Fanwank explosion.

SNW is adventure of the week, that's all it's meant to be and I suspect they won't drop that to do any more direct-TOS prequels than they have already.
Kirk will also get a refit and be played by shatner

But but... special magical space radiation. Not like real radiation. Ruins all but the yes or no centres of the brain or something something. If he can communicate like people do today it ruins much of the existential horror and is just Pike in a regular wheelchair with a voice box.
