Why don't we talk about how Netflix 'always' cancels shows after two seasons* for a while?
That's a nice bullshit-filled canard that should pass a few more pages in this thread.![]()
Let’s not.

Pretending that one knows enough to make predictions about this stuff is foolishness.
The streaming balloon inflated and deflated - for now - so quickly that conclusions about supposed trends and customary practices are being derived from very little real information.
The only thing that's close to certain, it seems, is that however these services were being managed two years ago is not how they'll be managed two years from now.
But, I guess it's something to talk about to kill time on the Internet, huh?
I can get behind that. That series will probably end with Kirk retiring (the first time) and Spock being promoted to Captain.I've been saying this for a long time. There is a whole 15 year period of time aboard the original NCC-1701 that has never been tapped into, a golden age set aboard the refit Enterprise when the whole TOS cast was back together. I have ALWAYS wanted that show. I always will, and I hope someday we get it.
Setting a show after TMP would have several advantages. You could insert a new uniform design, and Wesley's age is correct. You also avoid the issue of overwriting TOS. You could have the story of Spock meeting/rescuing young Saavik. Then at the end Kirk meets Antonia.
We had that, it was called TOS-R.
Modern studioes are inept and should touch nothing else, thanks.
So when it's done, give me a Kirk-led Enterprise with new adventures in whatever form for which h the writers can figure out a reasonable approach - before, during, or after TOS.
With such a good premise this could certainly be a quite good show too.We already had TOS.
What about a show with Una getting her own command, and they go SNW Phase II with it? Fun, fresh, original. And no canon fights!
