I just found out that there is only one character (played by the same actor!) who appears in 5 different series

Bajorassian

Ensign
Red Shirt
And its not my favourite one...

William T. Riker
TNG: 176 episodes
DS9: 1 episode (at least T. Riker...)
VOY: 1 episode
ENT: 1 episode
PIC: 11 episodes

And 4 of the movies (VII-X)

And consequently, the only other character who appeared in more than three series is:

Deanna Troi
TNG: 168
VOY: 3
ENT: 1
PIC: 7
And 4 of the movies (VII-X)

And she is not my favourite either

Michael Dorn as Worf has by far the most appearances though:

Worf
TNG: 176
DS9: 102
PIC:7
And 4 of the movies (VII-X).... and in VI he plays his ancestor "colonel Worf"

The only one getting bit close is, interestingly, O`Brian

Miles O`Brian
TNG: 52
DS9: 173

But none of the movies (why?). Unique about him is his developpement from a small side role to a main character, i think he got his full name only in the last episode of TNGs 4th series, so in many of this 52 episodes he appears only few seconds.

I wished they would have "connected" the diferent series a little bit more with other characters than O`Brian and Worf being important in several series, esp. amongst TNG, DS9 and VOY who played all more or less in the same time.

While i see the problem doing this with Voyager in the Delta Quadrant (There you need a Q to "magically" beam Riker aboard e.g.) i would have loved to see Picard and Data in some later DS9 episodes, somehow participating in the Dominion war with the Enterprise or otherwise. What do you think?

PS: I wrote "character played by the same actor" because it woud be too compicated including all the animated series "cameos" and different Spocks as child, young man, middle aged man and old man. If i still made an error please correct me, all the given numbers i researched myself.

But not DS9 (Tom is not Will), so it's still actually five even if OP was counting animated stuff. :)
That is absolutely correct.

At four, Spock, McCoy, and Scotty were on TOS, TAS, TNG, and DS9.

And Majel Barrett was the voice of Starfleet computing on TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, and "In a Mirror, Darkly" on ENT.

Didn't they use her voice in PIC as well?

It looks like they did—and on TAS as well. According to Memory Alpha, that gives her at least 240 appearances as the computer across seven series (the list is marked as incomplete), plus five movies.

Well, for DS9 i wrote "at least T. Riker"..... it is somehow the same character the..... first three quarter of its existence :)

Yeah, all up (face and/or voice) Majel features in:

TOS, TAS, TNG, DS9, VOY, ENT, and movies 1, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11.
if you include "voice" apperances it gets complicated, and she did play different characters....

It was really avout "same actor playing same character"

It is still Jonathan Frakes voicing the character. Just as it is Marina Sirtis and John de Lancie in Lower Decks too.

De Lancie also voices Q again in SNW.
therefore i clearly explained in my initial post why i excluded animated series/ "voice appearances", and so many "voice cameos" aswell in non animated shows like de Lancie as Q in "wedding bell blues".... it would get endless

it was about the same actor playing (not only voicing) the same actor..... i think Jonathan Frakes/Riker is the only one in 5 series (and if T. Riker is equal to W.T.Riker i let the philosophers decide)

Hardly endless there are only 3 animated shows and there aren't really any voice cameos barring what else, Data in TATV

Thomas Riker is not Will Riker that's not a philosophy issue they are two separate people and were separated prior to us first seeing Will. Equally Brent Spiner playing the purpleverse Data in Lower Decks is not him reprising his role as the same Data.

It could have been nice to see Picard at least one more time much later in, or Riker or Troi in, Deep Space Nine but the show went in such a different and even contrarian take than TNG it maybe seems more natural that they didn't, from at least Season 4 (Klingons after being allies for last few decades then breaking the alliance and nearly being at war with Federation) it seemed like not just darker but pretty dark and conflict-focused setting, hard or at least a bit awkward to think that happened just a few years after the major and successful idealism of TNG (even if that did start having the Cardassian and Maquis conflicts).
