I Have Begun the Journey

Ok... I was really really really burned out, but now I'm back into it since I've caught up on everything I watch this season and will have a few days at home being bored for Thanksgiving. I still have to watch 3x14-3x22 and then I bought season 6 to keep me company.

Here's hoping the next 100 episodes are at least decent. :)

Within The Serpent's Grasp was the first season finale and you must've missed Nemesis which was the third season finale.

Fixed. I made this on the fly. The DVD order and the episode list on Wikipedia are different and I've probably made a couple of errors.

I watching New Ground - Nemesis tonight.

6x01 Redemption, Part 1
6x02 Redemption, Part 2
6x03 Descent
6x04 Frozen [C]
6x05 Nightwalkers [F]
6x06 Abyss

Why is Teal'c acting so weird? After Redemption, he has reverted into character who simply stands around and cocks his eyebrow at things every once in a while.

I really like Jonas Quinn. I thought that these episodes wouldn't be very enjoyable with Daniel's absence, but he adds a great perspective to the series.

I think Nightwalkers might be the worst episode of the series. A Stargate episode with no gate... and no sensible plot sucks.

And I'm tired of these contrived endings.

Nightwalkers...that's the season six episode that does without O'Neill, right? And, if I'm not mistaken, another fine entry by the Mallozzi and Mullie clowns?

I really like Jonas. He ends up getting the shaft by the producers and writers (and Michael Shanks), but I'll let you enjoy him while he's around.

As for Teal'c being such a non-entity, that's pretty much his lot as a character, except for the occasional Teal'c solo entry.

Yes. That's Nightwalkers. Teal'c had had so much character development though. He was making jokes, fitting in very well with the crew, and now he just stands around.

The writers didn't always know what to do with Teal'c as a character. There's hardly any reason for him to be on the team in seasons nine and ten, but he's still there anyways. But, like I said, he'll still have a solo entry every once and a while where he gets to take center stage.

6x07 Shadow Play [C] Despite Dean Stockwell, this one is a real snoozer. Feel like we've been there, done that.
6x08 The Other Guys Everyone not on SG-1 always turns out to be a bumbling idiot in the Stargate program, otherwise this is a funny episode.

Teal'c actually had several good lines in The Other Guys. I was impressed.

Meh. I like Jonas Quinn, so season six isn't hard for me at all. But season seven is no better, if you're already having problems.

Well, like I said, if you're slogging through season six, season seven will be painful. And I rather like seasons seven and eight.

Too true. Still, wait until you get to seasons nine and ten, or the Stargate Command years. It's so much like a new show (Richard Dean Anderson replaced with Ben Browder and Claudia Black, Don S. Davis replaced with Beau Bridges, and one other replacement I won't spoil), that it's hard to keep on with it.
