How long does pizza last in the fridge?

-- If your leftover pizza snarls "Zule" when you open the box, it's time to ditch it.

-- If it looks like something that could have starred in Spaceballs, time to ditch it.

-- If you open the fridge and the milk is hanging by the bottle neck from the fridge light with a note scribbled in pizza sauce that read "Stuff Crust This Bitch!" it's time to ditch it.

I put my leftover pizza in airtight containers, so they last for a few days. Freezing is also an option if you're not going to eat it soon.

If you just chucked the pizza box in there, that could spell trouble. Of course, the smell does tell you all you need to know.

Pizza is only supposed to last until the next morning. Any longer than that and it's "good lord man what is wrong with you. There is pizza in the fridge. Go eat it. See I have Pizza in my fridge right now and I guarantee you by noon it will be gone. Which helps explain why I'll still be fat after noon.:sigh:

So long as it's not scrolling "No Kill I" in the block of cheddar next to it, then you're good to go.
 You win.

In response - It should be fine, but smell it. If it doesn't smell like penicillin, you should be good to go. Take cautious bites at first, see how it tastes.

Then again there are benefits to such a move, as Douglas Adams once wrote:

He almost danced to the fridge, found the three least hairy things in it, put them on a plate and watched them intently for two minutes. Since they made no attempt to move within that time he called them breakfast and ate them. Between them they killed a virulent space disease he's picked up without knowing it in the Flargathon Gas Swamps a few days earlier, which otherwise would have killed off half the population of the Western Hemisphere, blinded the other half and driven everyone else psychotic and sterile, so the Earth was lucky there.

:bolian:

Longest I've ever kept pizza in the fridge for was 5 days. I usually wouldn't keep it that long, but that's because I rarely have much left over. However, as luck would have it, I managed to get a 24-slice pizza for 60% off, and I wasn't about to waste any of it.

The pepperoni started to look a little iffy by the end, but there were no ill-effects from eating it, so I'll say 5 days is more or less fine.

Freezing leftover pizza?

Growing up, we'd put ours in the oven after the oven cooled...which seems stupidly dangerous (maybe that's why so few of survived). Unrefrigerated food in an appliance...

I'd give it about 4 days refrigerated, usually it gets too dry, I think. Pizza never rewarms right...to rubbery in the microwave and ovens take to long...WE WANT THAT PIZZA NOW!!

The reason why the pizza was in the fridge so long was because I went out of town. I ate it on the 7th for dinner, but left it in the fridge (just 3 pieces) during the time I was gone, I didn't get back until the 12th and wanted to eat it for lunch, but it was a no go :(

Wow, there are some brave souls here.

I'll only give it one day past when I got it before it goes in the trash.

Thing is -- it's good for a number of days. Trashing it after just one, is ridiculous. You could mail it to me postal mail, and it would still be good to eat when it reaches me.

There are starving kids in China who can't even afford pizza! :p

I just drank soda a few days ago that expired in May. It had never been opened though. Had about half the fizz, but still tasted pretty much hte same.

Got some Domino's on Friday, had some today, and it was 'ok', but I wouldn't leave it there anymore than that.
