How do you plan to celebrate the 60th Anniversary?

Hmm... I'd like to think I'd do something like watch one episode of every series and at least one of the movies. Realistically, it's a Tuesday. I'll work, go home, have supper while watching Coronation Street, fall asleep, wake up, listen to a Big Finish Doctor Who audio, then realize I meant to do some Star Trek stuff and go to bed. Based on past experience, at least....

(Anyway, I’m rarely any good at following through on celebration plans if I make them. For years towards the end of the 20th century, I had vague but excited plans to throw a Farewell To The Moon party on September 13, 1999, complete with a countdown and “Bon Voyage!” cheer. Did I get it together and actually do it? No I did not.)

I’m gonna get out some of my Eaglemoss, Master Replicas, DST/AA, Playmates, Hot Wheels, Johnny Lightning, ERTL, Micromachine, Furuta, and assorted 3D-printed starships, and zoom them around - wherever that might be!

Huzzah!

With all the technical, practical and energetic talent here at the BBS (not to mention @cooleddie74 and the Mod's vast fortune) wouldn't it be marvy it we could all get together and reconstruct the Original Bridge for the 60th?

Where there is a will, there is a Command Chair...

There may be little time to do so. (I thoroughly celebrated the 50th by watching just about everything but TOS). Since I'll be celebrating my 60th (having been born one month before MAN TRAP's original airing), I'd say having received the entire 14-disc TOS soundtrack from my friend is sufficient as well.

Watch lots of Trek, post on the board and be a pain in the ass. So, really, not much different from any other day.
Objection. Unduly derogatory. When has anybody had any serious objections against you? Or Norris from THE THING? Not just defending your honor due to your lengendary Afro.....:borg:

I mean, the good folks at Ticonderoga already did it…

EDIT: Now, show me a screen-accurate TMP Bridge…

As near as I can tell, this exact question hasn't been put forth yet, so I think I'm safe to do so. My apologies in advance if I'm wrong.

I like to commemorate things/events in little ways, so for me, I've come up with a couple of things to spread out over the rest of the year. First on my list is revisiting one of my all-time favorite TOS eps, 'City on the Edge of Forever', in the form of the graphic novel that adapted Harlan's original screenplay. Read it (the graphic novel) once, years ago and remember being impressed with it. This seems as good a time as any to read it again.

My next Trek read, closer to the beginning of September, is Inspired Enterprise by Glen E. Swanson, which my wife got me for Christmas and I quickly decided to wait until the week of the 60th rolled around to read it. If anyone out there has already read this, I'd love to know what you think.

In December I plan to re-watch for the umpteenth time my favorite Trek movie, TMP; not sure which way I'll go this time, the 4k Director's Edition, or my blu-ray copy of the theatrical. For all it's flaws, I'm still rather fond of that version, simply because that's the movie I saw on December 23, 1979. Big time nostalgia.

And finally, looking forward to David Mack's new TOS novel Echoes in Eternity, due in October (I have already broadly hinted to the Missus that this would make a wonderful Christmas present this year).

OK, it's time for everyone else to share their plans for Trek's 60th. I'm sure there will a quite a few that are more elaborate than my own.

:D
I'll probably cherry pick some episodes from tng, ds9, voyager, and lower decks.

I'm not sure. I'm going to the convention in August and there are some guests I am looking forward to seeing. I have already done a rewatch of Lower Decks recently so maybe I might do a rewatch if Prodigy this summer. I have only seen season 2 once.
