I'm thinking I can just pretend last season never happened.

My Mom called to talk about the PSU game, first of all, but then she had a question to ask me. "Would you..." "...be interested in going to a Flyers game? Yes!" I don't know how I knew she was going to ask me that, but I did. I am just that awesome.

My wife took mercy on me and ordered the Super Sports Pak from Rogers Cable. Centre Ice...Sunday Ticket...Extra Innings... sports heaven!

That Sens game tonight was great. Gerber played unbelievably, especially on the 5-3 when at one point he THREW the puck out of the zone!

Fucking refs spoiled the Sharks game. Get out of the way and you don't get any carems that will go right to the Bruins to set up for an easy goal. Yeah they are part of the game, but tough loss.

I've heard the Sens are going to run with Emery ASAP, but I can't help but wonder if they won't ride Gerber for a while. Boost his confidence, up his trade value, maybe? He is playing pretty spectacularily this season thus far!

I remember the old days, when it wasn't unheard of for Calgary to blow a 4-0 lead and end up losing 5-4. I'm glad that's long behing us....

Flyers win 4-0. Shots are still very uneven in favor of jersey, but I guess that's why we have Biron.

So the Flyers have a record of 5-1 with two straight shutouts and have outscored their opponents 19-3 in the past four games. ESPN, in their infinite wisdom, has them ranked #14 behind the teams they have beaten. These rankings mean zilch, but still! It's the principle of the thing!

I'm not liking the Sharks performance this early in the season. At least they are alternating win and loss, but they need to play a lot better. It doesn't look like there is much urgency, and yes they were playing Detroit but that is no excuse.
