Hockey Talk - 2007-2008 Season

Poo! I didn;t know Gerber would be in net for the Sens tonight, or I would have played him on my fantasy hockey teams!

ETA:

I meant to comment on last nights Canucks/Flames game. It is frustrating that the Flames can't find a way to play 60 solid minutes. When we figure that out, watch out...

Luongo was outstanding in the 3rd.

^^ Nice avatar, BTW. (Even though I usually cheer for the Oilers when I watch Battle of Alberta games)

I briefly started cheering for the Flames in the Battle of Alberta, but Keenan's hire put an end to that. Now I just don't look. :D

Well, we have one winner in the Bay Area but, much like the rest of the NHL, no one cares. Still, I do and that shootout win last night with the Sharks and Stars was awesome. Sharks suck on the Shootout, so I was really thinking they weren't going to get it done, again (They were playing the best shootout team in hockey) so when Nabby stopped the two best shooters, and the Sharks won, I was actually shocked. Hope they can get it done with Phoenix tonight.

I really shouldve posted after the kings beat dallas and scored 5 goals in 5mins and 7 seconds. But i forgot about this thread, and now I am too late.

It's never too late to get your praise on for your team.

Canucks finally lost in the northwest the other day, in the shoot-out. It was a particularly dire shoot-out for both sides, but less for Edmonton.

Did anybody see the national anthems for tonight's Sens/Sabres game? They had some brass trio play "Oh Canada" and then a guy sang "God Bless America", which struck me as extremely odd.

Weird. No, I can't see the game because I live in friggin Toronto! I've tried the CBC streaming, but for some reason a big chunk of the screen is cut off, so no joy there.

Waitaminute...TSN IS showing the game! Too bad that as I write this, Ottawa is losing to Buffalo 2-0.

I was just getting ready to tell you that TSN is showing it in Southern Ontario...

Thanks anyway! Just for fun, I turned on TSN, and was pleasantly surprised...until I saw the score and the way the Sens were playing in the first period. Now it's 3-0...

Typical Pronger bulls**t after Kesler's goal in the Vancouver/Anaheim game last night: a hit to Kesler's leg as Kesler was starting to celebrate. No call, of course ... after all, there's no evidence that Pronger is one of the biggest thugs in league. :brickwall:

The NHL looks like it's just going to call the Flyers all year. Not that I'm a Flyers fan, but seriously. Call the cheap shots or don't call the cheap shots; stop letting the Prongers off the hook.
