I won’t watch another SW Show after The Book of Boba Fett. Could not give a fuck about Obi-Wan but then I’m only really a fan of Star Wars in terms of the original trilogy anyway.

That was such a misfire of a show. My favorite episodes were the Grogu/Skywalker/Mandalorian heavy ones, which is telling since those completely sidestepped the show's titular character.

I mean...maybe? We won't know for 7 days. Regardless, it's closer tied to ROTS and the PT than ANH as it stands right now. That might change over the course of the series.

So since 2017 when new Trek launched has any other live action Trek achieved this?

Star Wars? I quit watching after the first movie. Basic science is basic science. If you think a parsec is a unit of time, you have no business doing science fiction. Star Wars is not the space opera you're looking for. The Expanse, on the other hand, is well worth watching, maybe even more than TOS.

SNW, for me, is ranking right up there with TOS. I just wish they had more of the funny stuff like TOS did.

To be fair if you're going to call out one IP for things that it does that are either non-scientific or scientifically impossible/inaccurate, then neither neither is Star Trek. ( both IPs are more Fantasy.)

I used to be a huge Star Wars fan but After 6 horrible prequels and sequels I have completely lost interest. But my trekkieness is intact.

I mostly disagree abour SW sequels, but I think NuWho really lost me with much of late Moffat and all odld Chibnal from almost the onset.
