The sad thing is I have no desire at all to see Cloverfield-- but I want to see the teaser.

sigh.

Tony

That's what YouTube and scoff-laws are for. A marriage made in heaven. I just saved 10 bucks and the price of snacks.

But about the teaser, as Goethe said, "More light!"

Re: Here it is!

Better teaser trailer than most recent movies have gotten.

Re: Here it is!

Cloverfield won't premier here in Germany until 31.01, and I was so not willing to wait that long! But I'll still go watch it, wanna see the teaser on the big screen!

It's a great trailer, btw. Even better than I expected. The movie is going to be fantastic, and then there'll be even less haters than right now. Pity we have to wait that long, though. Oh, oh!

Re: Here it is!

I thought it was pretty neat. Loved the Nimoy voice over and Trek music - even though they stuck both on at the very end in a clear attempt to make it not look like trek for as long as possible.

Re: Here it is!

It's easily the best teaser for any TREK movie in at least a decade. Dating back to the very first GENERATIONS released in the late summer of 1994.

Re: Here it is!

From what I could make out, visuals were tough, it seems like a fairly regular vague teaser trailer. I did like the audio that was used to place it into a historical context.

Re: Here it is!

Not bad, I kind of like that popular fan made trailer with the ship in drydock over the Earth better.

Re: Here it is!

I can't wait until we see the good quality version on Monday, as I could SWEAR I saw a partial profile shot of the Enterprise - saucer, neck and forward half of secondary hull.

Monday will tell.

Re: Here it is!

I'm curious...is that flicker we see part of the teaser itself or something to do with a framerate difference between the camera and the theater projector?

Re: Here it is!

I've found two trailers online, one is youtube (crappy lighting) the other has better lighting. If you hunt around you should find it.

Good trailer, actually get to see parts of the (under construction) Enterprise.

I thought the welders & workers on the hull were great, so these are the guy's & girls that actually build the damn ships. I guess Scott is down in that construction mess somewhere overseeing things, the trailer made 'Trek' just a little more real, hope they keep it up in the movie.

Saw the teaser trailer and "Cloverfield" this morning.

Both are excellent.

Can you comment on the audience's reaction? I hoping the general public is willing to give this movie a chance despite the science fiction factor.

From what I could see of the trailer, I think it's pretty awesome.

I went and there were a bunch of teenagers there. I was expecting derisive laughter and it never came. I was glad.

11:20 AM show, and the theater was mostly empty. There were maybe 50 people in the place, and we were all pretty quiet throughout the ads, trailers (ie, ads) and movie itself. Don't mean nuthin'.

Sure it does. It means you're all OLD!

Couldn't see a damn thing, it was so dark. [/quote

Glad I wasn't the only one who thought so. Hopefully, a better quality copy will be online soon.
