...What? She's blood to Lachlan and the rest of the 2nd gen. She's his niece. If your siblings have kids, do they not call your partner Aunt or Uncle?
Just think it's an odd leap of logic to assume her casting was due to family connections. Or the show was created to give her a job. Or the show had to be a FOX production because she was in it. I think she got it on her own merits. Her aunt divorced Murdoch in 1999, almost a decade before Fringe debuted.

And I think it's a an odd leap of logic and naivete to think that someone getting a starring role in a TV series on a network owned by their uncle and partially run by their cousin's has nothing whatsoever to do with their Uncle owning & their cousin's partially running said TV network. Agree to disagree:shrug:

The proof would be?

I'm not playing this game. I already said, we'll have to agree to disagree. If you don't want to believe nepotism exists in Hollywood, that's your prerogative. Enjoy your weekend!

Sure it does. But was it a factor in this case? You made the claim, so back it up. Otherwise it leaves you with a not so good look.

Just signed switched from Netflix to this, and started Station Eleven this morning. Anybody else watch it?
I only watched the first episode, but I thought it was really good. Probably going to watch episode 2 later today or tomorrow morning.

I do like a story that it, a series about a global pandemic was delayed due to the covid pandemic.
The irony. :)

I just finished it the other day. I enjoyed it. It had a good payoff for all the different story threads at the end.

Have you read the book? I haven't, but I was still curious how closely they stuck to it.

I thought it was decent. Although I preferred the "Year one" stuff more than the "Year 20" stuff. I haven't read the book, I did some googling though and apparently it changes the ending quit a bit.

Just from the trailers, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be the opposite, the 20 years later stuff looks a lot more interesting than the stuff after the "80 Days After" jump.

I watched the episode of Station Eleven, and I really liked the Year 20 stuff, the Traveling Symphony seems like a really fun collection of characters.
My only issue is that I wasn't entirely clear on why
Kirsten stabbed the guy her and Alex met by the lake. Was it just that she didn't trust him, and that was her way of stopping him from traveling with them?
