Anna Torv's aunt was married to Murdoch. Does that really count? Was it? Huh, I thought it was an in house Fox production, especially since it starred a member of the Murdoch family.

Not blood though....That's his niece, yes, and cousin to Lachlan and the rest of them.
Not blood though.
Just think it's an odd leap of logic to assume her casting was due to family connections. Or the show was created to give her a job. Or the show had to be a FOX production because she was in it. I think she got it on her own merits. Her aunt divorced Murdoch in 1999, almost a decade before Fringe debuted....What? She's blood to Lachlan and the rest of the 2nd gen. She's his niece. If your siblings have kids, do they not call your partner Aunt or Uncle?

The proof would be?And I think it's a an odd leap of logic and naivete to think that someone getting a starring role in a TV series on a network owned by their uncle and partially run by their cousin's has nothing whatsoever to do with their Uncle owning & their cousin's partially running said TV network. Agree to disagree![]()
Sure it does. But was it a factor in this case? You made the claim, so back it up. Otherwise it leaves you with a not so good look.I'm not playing this game. I already said, we'll have to agree to disagree. If you don't want to believe nepotism exists in Hollywood, that's your prerogative. Enjoy your weekend!
I do like a story that it, a series about a global pandemic was delayed due to the covid pandemic.Just signed switched from Netflix to this, and started Station Eleven this morning. Anybody else watch it?
I only watched the first episode, but I thought it was really good. Probably going to watch episode 2 later today or tomorrow morning.
I just finished it the other day. I enjoyed it. It had a good payoff for all the different story threads at the end.Just signed switched from Netflix to this, and started Station Eleven this morning. Anybody else watch it?

No, I haven't read it. There are some articles that address the differences between the book and the miniseries below, but you might want to wait until you've finished if you want to stay spoiler free.Have you read the book? I haven't, but I was still curious how closely they stuck to it.
Just from the trailers, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be the opposite, the 20 years later stuff looks a lot more interesting than the stuff after the "80 Days After" jump.I thought it was decent. Although I preferred the "Year one" stuff more than the "Year 20" stuff. I haven't read the book, I did some googling though and apparently it changes the ending quit a bit.
It looks way better on HBO Max than it does on IMDBtv for sure (and no ads).Fringe has arrived on HBO Max
