HBO Max Streaming Service Thread

With HBOMax do you new HBO series the day after the individual episodes air, or after the whole season has aired?

HBOMax has everything on HBO. A new episode available on HBO will also be available on HBOMax. At least, that has been the case with Last Week Tonight and Real Time, in my experience.

What?!? How can this be?!? We were assured by members here that that would not happen because DC Universe forum moderators told them so, even though everyone could see the writing firmly written on the wall. In bold. With neon colored ink.

What I said was true at the time that I said it.

The fact that things are now changing does not negate the validity of my comments at the time that I made them.

Nice try, though.

HBO Max may not be available on Roku, but there is now a workaround for HBO content for people who used to use HBO Go on Roku (using their cable subscriptions). Basically, you just have to go into your HBO Max account (using your cable subscription) and add a password. You can then download the HBO app on Roku and login using the e-mail/password combination on your HBO Max. That allows you to watch regular HBO content on your Roku, though you will have to create a new watch list for that app specifically.

If it works like the HBOGo app content appears on the app simultaneously with its East Coast airing. At least thats how it worked with Game of Thrones and Westworld.

Always seems to me that it pops up right after the PACIFIC airing. YMMV.

I think they pop up when the east coast airing starts. I remember a few weeks ago I wanted to see JoJo Rabbit and it didn't appear on the service until 5:00 PM PDT, which was when HBO usually airs it's Saturday Night Movie (8:00 PM EDT). I'm not sure if it's different for series though.

Does HBO Max have any of the old Looney Tunes and Merry Melodies, or just the new Looney Tunes?

1950-1954 Tom & Jerry as well..............any others you'd like to know about?

That is why you need a feel for how the world works, not rely on what someone says. Because things are constantly changing, anyone could see what was going to happen.

I canceled my Netflix and signed up for this. I've already found a ton of stuff that I plan on watching, even more than I expected. I had no idea that they had old Godzilla movies, or movies from TCM on there.
Anybody know if there's a reason they have the first and third live action Hobbit movies, but not the second?

Reddit has a posting from last night where people say they were watching it, the app crashed and when they restarted it was gone.............

Weird. Something must have happened to it, because I can't see them just pulling it with no warning while people in the middle of watching it.
