Wait till the episode where Kono turns out to be a Cylon. ;)

Very good episode. Well-acted, produced, with great scenary and action. Good fight with Grace Park and I loved the ending.

Also nice to see Martin Starr from Freaks and Geeks fame.

I liked it. Just a small comment. Is there a trope on that trope site about main characters having interesting bordering on unrealistic cars? The shots of the camaro and Harley together were a little gratuitous.

IIRC the Mustang belonged to Danny and the Camaro to McGarett, nothing got replaced.

Chevy is an official sponsor, I don't expect the Mustang to survive. Perhaps a nice Malibu for the stable cop and father :rommie:

I'm really enjoying the show. I love the interaction between Steve and Dano. Chin Ho and Kono have good interaction as well. The show has a nice energy and vibe to it. Even though it's the upteenth cop show it feels fresh probably because it doesn't rely on forensics.

Wow, they certainly didn't cut down on the body count. At this rate, there will be no one left alive in all of Hawaii. And that's when the zombies rise!

Also, no surprises whatsoever when you cast someone like Ivana Milicevic as the girlfriend.

I did notice that Kono's kicks and punches didn't cause her to fly away like it did the Snakehead gangsters

It probably is but I like seeing cool cars on TV. The Camaro is actually fairly reasonable, even looked like a base model.

Ya know, not every show has to be the height of artistic integrity.

This show is borderline ridiculous, which is why I love it so. XD

Great episode. The interaction between the main characters is excellent. Reminds me of NCIS... only with more explosions :techman:

The elevator scene with the guys not holstering their guns in the presence of the family and McGarrett adding to that by hitting the bloodied elevator button with his gun and then cocking it was hilarious. Borderline ridiculous as noted, but hilarious too.

Last night's episode felt like the bastard love child of 24 (with the cyber-terrorism angle, Russian bad guys, McGarrett dangling the driver from the roof and other completely OTT action scenes) and Lost (with the Hawaiian surroundings). Considering I hated the last seasons of both of those shows, the fact that I liked this episode is unexpected to say the least.

Jack: "Damnit! Tell me what the smoke monster is now! I don't want to hurt you but I will if I have to!"

Ben: "Shooting me won't get you any answers."

Jack: "No, but maybe shooting your daughter will."

The camaro would have made for an awesome K.I.T.T

Just need to have McGarrett slap Danno in the back of his head.

Nice episode but the mixing of Hawaii lingo can get a bit confusing. What did Chin Ho say to Kono at the end?

It is nice to know they are using the locale. Another show i'm afraid wouldn't go to such an extent

"Oh we're in Hawaii but we treat it like L.A"

Daniel Dae Kim is the luckiest man alive. He's gonna get to stay in Hawaii for the next 10 years if the show is a hit.
