All we can hope is the stories and characterizations are strong enough to make up for the simple animation.

Unfortunately I'm not really getting a sophisticated BTAS or JLU vibe from the writing so far. More like a cheesier and kiddified Brave and the Bold kind of vibe.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the animation either. It looks like something from about 10 years ago. The whole thing from Christopher's post about the limited number of characters is disappointing, since all of the unique characters seems to be one of the highlight of the GL franchise.
