I found this episode boring. I almost felt asleeps. It was good to see Nicole DeBoer working again.

Loved it. As a fan of Christina Cox, it was fun seeing her back in the 'gate universe (even though she previously played another character on SG-1 who was killed). It was also great seeing Deboer (aka Dax from the last season of DS9) again. And Sgt. Dusty was funny! I hope we see these women again, either in the remainder of Atlantis, or on Universe.

Although I agree with the comments about Sheppard not knowing anything about the all-female team. That was just silly. As military leader of Atlantis, shouldn't it be his job to know who's who among his SG teams?

Another thing that bothered me was when Sgt. Dusty was whistling to herself while out patrolling the perimeter. Isn't that defeating your own purpose by giving away your position to potential enemies? Also the same with chewing bubble gum? :guffaw:

Still, it was a fun episode with some great horror movie moments, just very entertaining overall. I gave it above average.

first off, i'm not sure sheppard needs to memorize the corresponding gender of all the thousands of base personnel. secondly, i think he was actually surprised that they were all attractive women. :techman:

but you can't say "No, I'm not surprised that you're all female. I'm surprised that you're all so hot" and not sound a bit skeezy.

he was covering for his shock at that by agreeing to Teldy's "you're surprised we're all female" suggestion.

i think his fist bump with Carson at the end of that scene was acknowledgment that they were both pleased with the physical appearance of the people they'd been sent to help.

Aggressively average. The zombies were cool, and that scene with the one crawling on the wall next to Beckett was neat, but other than that....meh. Saw pretty much all the plot points coming from a mile off, and I wasn't even giving the episode my full attention much of the time.

This episode so needed RONAN with all the action

So what was the point of Captain Alicia Vega hype being a recurring character throughout the season. Pointless death, pointless hype...did she want to leave or something after not enjoying her 1st episode or something

WTF.

Overall (Above Average) good atmosphere and being a fan of horror, I loved the entire theme of the episode. I liked De Boer's character though they was no real need for the little crush between her n Carson, it just got a little uncomfortable at times. However like most horror it does suffer from human stupidity...

1. Why did Sheppard, the Major & Vega choose to travel at night

2. Vega loswering her guard that lead to her demise was a little dumb

3. Why do people wander off so much in horror stories

However despite that and the stupid idea to kill Vega off instead of the annoying Sgt lass, it was a good episode.

The hype came from behind the scenes and it was mainly because they split the two characters of Porter and Vega but none of that made it to the screen.

I think they did it so they thought us fans would think she was not going to die but in my case i did not know who she was till people pointed it out on here i thought she was just a red shirt hired for the day:guffaw:
Has for the scenes with Carson and doctor what her name ??? they where a bit hard to watch in places i wish we had a being sick smiley.

It's the Sci-Fi dream episode: Stargate + Hot Chicks with Guns + Saturday Night "Sci-Fi Original Picture". Though it felt like Gratuitous Carson.:) Nicole de Boer is still looking quite good in her late thirties. I don't even know how to rate this silly show anymore, it was a change of pace at any rate.

Yeah, I'm quoting myself, get over it. I've been thinking about this episode and I think you could just about drop the Stargate connection altogether. This may or may not work on its own terms but I don't really think it's a *Stargate* episode at all and can't really be judged as such.

I didn't really care about the hand bump. Just the fact that Sheppard, who is the military commander of the Atlantis base, should know who's who under his command--and this wouldn't be thousands of people, just the SG teams, the front line personel. Having him stand there gawking at the women just made him look very foolish, IMO.

Out of all the women to kill in the episode they choose the sexiest one  I guess looks really do kill :p

I found that this episode suffered from a lot of horror movie cliches (like "let's go off one at a time" and all the fog) - and that's coming from someone who doesn't watch a lot of horror movies.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed it, so I gave it an "average".

It was ok. I'm surprised that they killed off Captain Vega, as everything had pointed to her being a recurring character. I guess she was though because of her brief appearance in Search and Rescues. I'm surprised that Sgt. Dusty Mehra survived, usually the cocky types buys it early, did feel like she was tying to hard though. Major Tedly was fine. Dr Alison Porter, it's Nicole deBoer so my position on her is fairly obvious(), but it did feel that she was a little inconsistent. There was the whole thing about getting Carson to obey Dusty's orders and then she runs out into the fog herself.

I voted Poor.

Sheppard's reaction to the all-female team was pathetic and totally out of character. However, it was made worse by the "I was asked to pick the best and the brightest" line. This episode might have gotten an extra grade if they had just not mentioned it.

Those of us still watching this show are Stargate fans. We don't need to be convinced that women can be tough. We spent ten years watching Samantha Carter. We KNOW!

We'd have to be to still be watching with the amount of bad episodes these last 2 years.

Sorry, that's not a swipe at the people who enjoyed this episode, or who still think the show is great. I mean, I'm still watching so I count myself as a fan.

According to Joseph Mallozzi's blog, the reason Vega got killed off is because they thought that fans would be more shocked at her being killed, rather than one of the other team members who have been less hyped up.

And the whole 'fist' thing between between Shep and Beckett after they meet Team SG-Babes was ab-libbed by the two actors.

Its worth a read because there's info on scenes which were cut for time:

No, we just get more annoyed that a hyped up character is killed on her 2nd apperance.

How was she hyped up we barely knew her name from her first appearance? We only knew more about her because of the net but none of that info about her was onscreen.
