College Football 2025: Where's My NIL Money?

The first bowl game of the day, didn't really watch it, but ESPN sure tried their hardest to not show the crowd. Except for punt and kick, which would be impossible not to show the bleachers.

The majority of bowls need to be some kind of week zero deal in the future. Or preseason tune ups for teams. I just don't see them surviving in their current forms. Maybe pass them down to a lower division as maybe a way to generate interest?

The Music City Bowl was very entertaining.

Sorry @jenji120

It's the MCB. At least we lost for real this time instead of in a game that resulted in the NCAA creating the run-off rule as a direct result of our opponent getting to redo a kick off their own penalty or from an egregious forward progress call on an obvious TD. When I saw that the MCB was our bid, I legit would've rather us sat at home or gone to the Birmingham Bowl instead even tho that's like the shittiest SEC tie-in bowl and I doubt I'm alone, especially judging by the crowd. I am not kidding, I would've refused the bid.

TCU has 3rd-and-long in OT, throws a short pass to make the FG more manageable, then after a bunch of broken tackles and/or missed tackles, somehow keeps going for a touchdown. Game over. USC loses.

Well, I just want to say that I think the NCAA needs to do something about these opt-outs and transfers prior to these mid-level bowl games.

USC had so many players out that it didn't even seem like our team.

TCU won fair and square, I'm not complaining about that, but damn...at what point do we say these games look more like pre-season games than actual bowl games?

@1001001 Sorry digits... Who are we cheering for now?

I'm hoping Oregon goes all the way.

Oh no, I know where you're coming from on the opt-outs we had our best WR out and the best players on a bad defense out so yeah the opt-outs totally suck. I am fairly sure this year's lousy defense would've let us down anyway. Like, everyone knew the moment that Kickoff was returned for a TD that we would lose bc that put the game in our D's hands. We honestly should've picked up an Ill player and carried him into the endzone.

I don't know what the solution is but given the money they're already making -- maybe reclaim some NIL if they opt-out. I dunno.

I like Oregon a lot. I'm hoping for a meteor with Ole Miss v UGA.

This playoff schedule needs to be fixed. Three weeks from the end of the regular season until the first round. Four weeks off if you have a bye.

Alabama QB scrambles on 3rd down, looks like he's thinking of sliding but realizes he's nowhere near the first down, keeps going and gets the first down, then gets hit and fumbles. Indiana ball.

He was injured on that play.

Down 24-0, Alabama has a back up in.

When Kyle Field at Texas A&M was being renovated, a construction worker and lifelong Crimson Tide fan named Bobby Livingston decided to fly an Alabama flag there. Not a big deal.... until they found posts of him bragging about doing intentionally shoddy work on the stadium and telling people to avoid certain spots. He got fired, couldn't get another job because he wasn't deemed trustworthy (even though he was just making it all up), and ultimately committed suicide.

I remember this but I didn't know he committed suicide. That's awful.
