Spoilers General Disco Chat Thread

Sadly, the giant turbolift maze happens in the 23rd, too. So it can't be future tech.

Yeah, we first see it in S2, it was part of the "fix canon" initiatives that season had, specifically they felt a need to explain why a ship larger than a Constitution class has significantly fewer crew than it. The answer: the ship's interior is largely hollow in order to house a turbolift roller coaster and all the habitable areas are located along the perimeter. Then they went and completely undid this explanation in the Q&A Short Trek by showing the Enterprise also has a turbolift roller coaster.

Someone did basic measurements based off the size of the turbolifts and such in the Season 2 scene, I wish I could find the tweet now, and that section could theoretically fit inside the Discovery's secondary hull, it wasn't bigger than it.

Doesn't make it any more silly, but it does fit, tightly.

It's possibly this systems hub that shows up in the artbook

The Season 3 (4?) one we see is way bigger than the one we see in Season 2 though.
