According to Amazon, looks like I'll be receiving my Discovery Complete Series Blu-Ray box set on 8/29/24. Two days after the release date, but it's fine.

This'll be good for me in that I accidentally bought S2 on DVD, didn't buy S4, and will be getting S5. So the only Disco seasons I'll have two Blu-Ray copies of are S1 and S3.

Now that you mention it, there did seem to be a divergence in the picture quality between the "previously on..." recap and the rest of 401. So that probably is the change point.

Season 5 is the first time in the entire show's run that I can't wait to hear the soundtrack. Jeff Russo finally learned how to write something that wasn't even more boring than the Berman-era sonic wallpaper.

I so far like season 5... It's been fun for me the only things I do not like are L'ak and Moll.

Second dislike was the ISS Enterprise and the need to shove that into the plot somehow fan service my ass

I’ve yet to start Season 5, but I’m starting to mentally push myself towards the idea.

Not out of any dislike. For some reason, I never rush to DSC (I think I watched S04 about a year later than anyone else).
