Yeah, I got several things wrong! 
Up until season 4 I thought each season was better than the previous one. But as much as I want to I can't say the same about season 5. Maybe I will feel different after a rewatch but for now I don't think it was better than season 4.
and the Moll and Lak storyline was kind of lame. It didn't work well as bad guys or have a nice payoff.

I actually have to agree with this. S4 having no villain of the season was very refreshing IMO. So to have S5 take a step backwards and invest in another story involving a villain was something I wasn’t a fan of. Not that I dislike this season (I’d rate it second behind S4), but I’m just tired of Kurtzman’s penchant for villains.
The Emerald Chain is the best name for a villain species in all of Star Trek. They should have been the big bad in a continuing arc through every series of stand alone stories - with the Federation taking time over series to come to understand them and work out what to do with them
Seasons 1 and 2 didn't have McGuffins.
I think you need to look up what that means.
yes they did have a McGuffin plot in Seasons 1 and 2. I frikkin watched them last month or so
anyways, I'm busy with Star Trek Discovery Season 3 and rewatching some old previous Arrow in the Head stuff on YouTube. Wonder if Lance and John will do any more Arrow in the Head stuff for horror movies on youtube or will it just be back to basics with Joblo Horror?

Can you enlighten us on what the McGuffin is? Because I can only think of one in S2 and I’m not sure that even counts as a McGuffin.
What were the MacGuffin plot elements in each season? I don't recall one.

Haven't seen season 5 yet but I'm a bit peed off about them forcing a tie in with Calypso.

It’s only the epilogue, not S5. They didn’t shoot the season knowing it would be their last. They were only thinking of Calypso when coming up with S6, but then the show got cancelled, and the epilogue is supposedly a very truncated version of what we might have gotten in S6, with a ton of details left vague so to let our imaginations run wild.
Except, they didn't know it was the last.
Another thing crossing m mind. This might be my memory doing tricks on me but in the end of season 2 Pike/Enterprise received final signal from Burnham as a sign they arrived safely in the future... But would that be even possible? Unless Micheal used her suite from Terralysium after her initial contact with Book.
At the beginning of "That Hope Is You, Part I", immediately after she crash lands, Burnham sends the space suit back through the time portal/wormhole/vortex/whatever before it closes.
It all happens very fast.
