Spoilers General Disco Chat Thread

Striving for accuracy doesn’t mean that it is accurate though. As I suggested above, it’s an educated guess. One based on the number of episodes in season three which is a totally fair assumption until we get confirmation. But it ain’t 100% anything yet.

I don't think it's a guesstimation at all, largely because of the inclusion of specific airdates.

Said dates could be extrapolations, but the fact that they're already listed suggests to me that there's concrete information behind Memory Alpha listing 13 episodes in Season 4 even without sources being available.

Gamesradar article says: "An episode count hasn’t yet been confirmed. The previous three seasons all had differing numbers (15, 14, then 13 respectively) and producing a season under COVID conditions may have hit that number even further. Still, one thing is for sure – we’re getting a new episode every Thursday for at least the next four weeks."

It is entirely possible that the wiki people assumed that it is thirteen episodes like last season and released in a regular weekly schedule. If they had a source they would cite it. It's an assumption.

This argument is pointless. At the end of the day, does it really matter how many episodes there are? There will be the number of episodes there are. Why don't we just wait and see?

As a former Memory Alphan, I can tell you without a doubt that it is almost certainly an extrapolation based on early reports of a 13 episode season. It won't be changed until and unless they find out specifically how many episodes there will be.

They're also good about sourcing things (especially production info), so if there's no source, treat it with caution and assume it's an assumption.

Is anyone else having trouble streaming Paramount+ through Roku? It runs fine in my Chrome browser but I'm getting errors any time I try to watch it with a Roku stick, and I'd much rather be watching this on my TV screen.

The picture jumps like crazy when buttons or subtitles are shown in Chrome, and the sound stutters in Firefox - so I watch it with Chrome and no subtitles :shrug:

In previous seasons, when has the show been renewed in relation to the current season? Should we have heard an announcement by now or am I just impatient & spoiled by recent "x renewed before it even premieres" trends?

"You gotta be kidding me! Here we are again with this huge threat that could wipe us all out!" - SMG (in the Ready Room)

I'm with you. I want the series to get a fifth season, because it'll be the first Star Trek season or film to break into the fifth entry of a series in over 20 years. Nothing's done it since Voyager.

TNG Films --> 4
ENT Seasons --> 4
Kelvin Films --> 3

Strive for Five!
And then keep going! ;)

The preview for the next episode, S04E04 All is Possible, is up on StarTrek.com here:

The preview has selections from multiple scenes, as well as portions of the extended preview clip featured in this week’s Ready Room.

I enjoyed seeing
the cadets that are going on a training mission with Tilly and Adira accompanying are mostly alien, rather than mostly human, and appear to include Tellarite and Orion cadets.

And more Kovich is always good thing. I’m glad to see him back.
