Yeah, that's a very unlucky number
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Don't blame you; my typing is worse and worse as the years go by...
Autocorrect has not helped matters either
Interesting report out by a company called antenna, abut the state of paid subscriber streaming companies. Nothing specific to Discovery but Paramount + is now up to 9% of the overall US paid subscriber streaming base, now in 4th place behind
Netflix at 30%
Hulu at 18%
Disney at 14%
This does not include free subscriptions
People seem surprised by Apple's growth from almost nothing In paid subscribers to 5%. But Apple is truly the one company that can absolutely play the long game. Hell just this year's profit could fully fund all US tv productions, with money to spare.
Another interesting fact since they have been tracking (roughly 5 quarters of streaming). CBS/ Paramount + (not including Showtime which is about 4% of the overall market) their services has seen growth in all but one of the last 5 quarters, with one quarter being flat. It's the only service that had trackable data for all 5 quarters that didn't have a single quarter with decline.
There you go.
Hey isn't is great that Netflix have been TOTALLY SILENT ABOUT DISCOVERY SEASON 4. Season 1-3 were 24 hours behind the US.
This seems like a huge mistake:
So they're using the time skip to have Michael and Stamets just make up off camera? Why the hell set up their conflict in the Season 3 finale then?
Yeah, wouldn’t be my choice. But one of many Trek plot points that have been dropped along the way. I’ll get over it.
Indeed, but if they are amiable with little moments of tension I can live with it. I mean season 4 is pretty much the textbook of what I wouldn't do or predict so I'll have to be open(ish) minded.
I like that they're switching up the dynamics with season 4 but I feel a little cheated too. We could have had some good scenes of the 4 of them just hanging out and becoming closer or Paul working out his anger towards Michael with the help of Culber's counseling. Oh well, I'll still be watching anyway.
How many episodes are there going to be in season 4?
It seems that we still don’t know.
There are conflicting reports of 10, 11 & 13, with no official information or verifiable source.
Memory Alpha, which strives to be 100% accurate even with the caveat that anyone can edit it, lists 13 episodes, along with specific airdates, so I think we can safely assume that there are 13 episodes in the season.
Memory Alpha is good for sure but it’s still only an educated assumption until we get a number from an official source.
What's their source for thirteen episodes?
^ They don't have any sources listed that I can find, but, as I said, they strive to be 100% accurate in the information they have on the site.
Striving for accuracy doesn’t mean that it is accurate though. As I suggested above, it’s an educated guess. One based on the number of episodes in season three which is a totally fair assumption until we get confirmation. But it ain’t 100% anything yet.
