It means very little.Great!I mean, wait!
Just because it isn't mentioned doesn't mean it's... not coming back. I may flip out though, if DISC is being canned for a SFA series.![]()
In Disco, any old species can look like a new speciesThat guys isn't an Akaali. No idea what species he is. Might just be Human with a tattoo.
Nah we see an Akaali in the clip at the end of the Ready Room, they look basically identical to how they did in Enterprise, the ridges are just wider. In Disco, any old species can look like a new species![]()
The showrunner already mentioned going back to the writers room. It's happening.Star Trek Strange New Worlds season 2 (codename Lily and Isaa) is listed on Production Weekly and IATSE and it will start production on February 01 2022.
Star Trek Discovery season 5 is not listed.
Don't bother. It's wishful thinking that DSC will end because not watching it is...not sure. The showrunner already mentioned going back to the writers room. It's happening.

As far as Production Weekly, it's called Production Weekly for a reason. That means it updates every week. So, DSC Season 5 could start production later in 2022 than is currently known as of this current week. It's a fallacy to assume no news automatically means bad news. It can actually just mean no news.
Obviously it's not going to go into production in February if it hasn't been greenlit yet, because it takes more than two months in order to prep the season from Blank Page to Actual Filming. And it's December right now. We have the Holidays coming up. Nothing serious would happen in the Writer's Room for DSC S5 until at least after New Year's.
Last year the information for Star Trek Discovery season 4 was the production tracking website three months before season 3 aired.
Pro NuTrek YouTubers made a big deal out of that.
Season 4 was announced one day after the season premiere of season 3 was aired.
No news is good news. Let's get through one season without doom and gloom prognostication.
I wouldn't be surprised if there is a slightly longer gap before Discovery returns to production, now that there are two other live action shows to fit into the schedule.
