Garrett Wang joins Star Trek Axanar.

Kate Mulgrew
Throne of the Goddess
Heaven

It always gets there. Or at least, it's never been returned.

Sorry.

I thought you were taking about writing letters to Janeway.

The Postal Service has measures for dealing with these requests.

Yahoo Mail, not so much.

Janeway is never getting old and my sentiment was that she would never be too old or too young.

Of course there is Admiral Janeway who was incredibly hot but KM didn't look much like her at that age. For one thing, no silver hair.

Maybe I will email her instead of using the postal service.

Yeah, but when watching young Janeway now, I can pretend I'm a much younger person too.

I always felt a little guilty over ogling Seven, because I'm 17 years older than Jeri.

Wealth or power will level the playing field.

Hell, even talent.

Look at the odd assortment of men Marilyn Munroe married.

(I miss Smash.)
Yeah, well the problem with that is I have neither wealth, nor power, nor talent.

Wang was fine in of Gods and Men.

Tim Russ got him the Job, and Garrett brought his girlfriend along for the ride.

I wonder if they're still together?

Good lord, Wang dated Margaret Cho... It's possible that Garret might be an adult after all.

Wait a minute. So I had a conversation with Margaret Cho's ex-boyfriend.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:: fans self ::

(the conversation was about how aliens are real and the govmint is hiding the truth)

I am ecstatic!!!!

So I asked Margaret Cho's ex-boyfriend about area 51 and he said yes, there really was a cover up but it's hardly the only one.

Also Margaret Cho's ex-boyfriend smokes herbal cigarettes, and no I don't mean illegal substances, actual herbal cigarettes which I had not seen since I was a teenager. They were kind of hilarious. But I guess it helps you detox from nicotine. And since I had to stand at the smoker's table to have this conversation with him I was not complaining.

MARGARET CHO!!!!!!

Really, we're in royalty territory.

He'll be playing a TOS era Klingon post Human augment plague.

Kingons in the TOS era were still in black face, but remind me about Enterprise?

Remember the revelation Voyager gave us that there were black Vulcans?

Are there Asian Klingons?

The difference is slight, and the script doesn't even have to qualify it, but leaving Wang more like himself than a guy with an inch of make up caked on will change the very nature of how we perceive Klingon culture.

Forgive me, but Star Trek owns the copy rights to all Star Trek, which means that after a fashion that they own all Fanfilms, which means that if they shoved the universe onto one edge, they might be able to take Axanar and air it off their website or on TV, because it's legally a possibility that they can seize the final product and use it how they see fit.

This has never happened before because even the best fan films were, to be kind, shit.

I say there's a %4 chance of this happening.

Maybe %50 if Star Trek is willing to give these people millions of dollars.

So yes, %4.

No ma'am.

There is a %4 chance that Axanar will be canonized (A real word. Wow.) because it is a well made high end product indistinguishable from TV... Or At least that's my assumption after seeing the prelude.

Of Gods and Men was deficient in so many areas that it was, to be kind, shit.

There is currently a %0.00000000000000000000007 chance of of Gods and Men being Canonized.

The prelude will probably be so much more amazing than any other bit of it that you will be filled with rage at how ripped off you were.

The prelude is mostly talking heads and cgi shots, really doesn't say a thing about how an actual episode will go.

WoW trailers.

With fanfilms you are not allowed to pay the actors (generating profit from a product not owned... But lets be serious, they're fed.) but you have to/can pay the technical staff.

They asked for ten grand from kickstarter, and they were given 2 hundred thousand dollars.

As long as the "professional" actors are still willing to work for free, most of the money will be going to computer rendering.

Considering the volunteered time from the actors is going to be minimal compared to how long they would try to stay to rack up over time if they were being paid by the hour, most of the movie will be about things that have been rendered with a computer.

A 3rd reason is possible. He expressed interest and the producers said no to training him because he was an irresponsible flake.

Is there any evidence of that or is it just something fans perpetuate based off of one or two articles? Just like with Beltran apparently being a troublemaker even though he's said he never caused trouble on the set and there wasn't that much tension but fans blow it out of proportion.

Only lots of circumstantial evidence. That's why I suggested it as a possibility, not a fact.
