Garrett Wang joins Star Trek Axanar.

I asked Nichelle at a convention what she thought of the Fan Dance in ST:V.

She replied that she was a dancer and.. dramatic pause.. "I loved it."

Good enough for me!

I was offended first!

It's what was literally written.

Did you see it before I illuminated it?

Probably not.

The point I was making is that sometimes we say things with out realizing what we have said.

I saw teacake's use of black hole, but knew she was talking about Janeway.

And don't worry. I only found your connecting to Nichelle objectionable.

I don't find you offensive. You're probably not trying hard enough. ;)

I don't think of Janeway sexually ever.

I thought there was a possibility that you might ave been talking about the animated series.

I'm glad I won't have to fight Guy for Janeway, not that it would have been a problem as I totally would have owned him. But whatever, one more thing I don't have to worry about in this long and sometimes tedious life.

"Yeah, right. That's why she's seen often sprawled across her console during ship shaking scenes, displaying ample amounts of leg in every scene even if she has no dialogue, trying to flirt with Spock in an early episode, and wears a bare midriff outfit in "Mirror, Mirror". To show how smart and capable she was."

ST has a very troubled history in how it portrays women. The word "hypocritical" comes to mind. Would Nichols have won the role if she had not been beautiful? Probably not. Does ST use her looks to objectify her frequently? Undeniably. My contention was that she actually has a character (Uhuru) who has a brain and a personality and isn't solely on set to be fantasized about. However, I should have mentioned her character was different from that of the other crewmembers.

I don't know, what was wrong with the others? Sure Rand had a crush on Kirk but who didn't? And Chapel, though she was also in teencrush mode for Spock was a capable nurse who McCoy relied on heavily.

I ogled Janeway all the time, but Mulgrew's 4 years younger than me, putting her in acceptable lust range.

Martin Luthur King said that she wasn't allowed to quit, but up that moment she was about to hand in her papers.

Yeah, but when watching young Janeway now, I can pretend I'm a much younger person too.

I always felt a little guilty over ogling Seven, because I'm 17 years older than Jeri.

Wealth or power will level the playing field.

Hell, even talent.

Look at the odd assortment of men Marilyn Munroe married.

(I miss Smash.)
