Games you wish were still continued...

It's been ages since I've played it to completion, but I do remember X-Wing Alliance ending on a bit of a strange note. IIRC The overarching family plot just abruptly evaporates and suddenly it's the battle of Endor and you're flying the Falcon...for some reason.
I hated that level. Couldn't see what was coming so always flying into walls, couldn't slow down because half a dozen allied fighters will plough right into the back of you (apparently Corellian ships don't come equipped with break-lights.)

All of my favorite JRPG series are dead : (

Chrono
Wild ARMs
Breath of Fire (A real number six, please.)

Up until a few days ago SaGa would have been on that list, but I guess there's a new one for the Vita coming up. Not that I have a Vita. But I suppose it's not even for sure to be localized yet.

Your Uncle turned you into the Empire by luring you and your brother and sister into a trap by making you think your father and brother were captives of the Empire instead of being killed like they were in the beginning of the game. After you escape that trap it's time for Endor...

Sounds about right. I just remember feeling like there was a weird disconnect between that and what came next, as if that whole last mission was an afterthought. Bit of an anti-climax as far as the main plot goes since Endor was the culmination of the movie characters' story, not the XWA characters' story.

The Suikoden series. Suikoden II is still one of the best JRPG's ever forged. The less said about IV and Tactics the better, but the games really seemed to be heading towards some confrontation/revelation with Harmonia, but we'll never know.

And Valkyria Chronicles. I would love another proper console game, but Sega couldn't even do that right.

ZORK, Enchanter, Planetfall, and other Infocom properties. The IP is all in some sort of limbo right now, though. :(

Battlechess (Not a knock off, a well done update of the original). Legend of Kyrandia. Lost Vikings. Maniac Mansion. Master of Magic. MASTER OF ORION.
City of Heroes. :(

There is one, its called Champions Online.
Okay, now, see Corran, them's fighting words. :p

I would LOVE a City of Heroes 2 that is true to the first one... as long as NCSoft (damned be their name) is completely uninvolved aside from selling any necessary IP to whomever makes it.

I need to look back in on City of Titans. It was very rough last time I logged in. Kind of fun, but only in that kids-playing-on-a-construction-lot sort of way.
WING COMMANDER. (No, Star Citizen doesn't count.)
YES. And more novels, too.
X-Wing Alliance demanded a sequel - that damn Uncle Antan...
Nevermind Alliance... X-Wing and Tie Fighter still demand a sequel. X-Wing vs Tie Fighter had potential, but was too far ahead of its time: they wanted people playing head to head across the 'net when people were dialing up on 28.8!

The one game that I wished had made it out of vaporware was Activision's Borg Assimilator. Sadly, Activision's loss of the Trek license back at the turn of the millennium killed any hope for it. It really looked like it could have been fun. :(

I wish they would have come out with SimMars. I remember seeing the trailer for it back in the day... Was super pumped.

There's so many Konami franchises that we'll never see again. It's so sad.

Parodius, Ganbare Goemon, Metal Gear, Gradius, Bonk, Bomberman, Castlevania, Contra, Silent Hill, Zone of the Enders, etc.

Grim Fandango (I know the original just got re-released, but how about a sequel?)
LA Noire
The Dark Fall PC games (or another Lost Crown game)
The Next Big Thing
Indiana Jones (I know I'm alone on this one)

Indiana Jones (I know I'm alone on this one)

You're not. I assume you're thinking of the games like Emperor's Tomb. They had this really good looking followup to that series that they were working on at roughly the same time Force Unleashed came out, but it had been cancelled. I really hope Disney picks up the slack on their LucasArts licenses. Their neglect is almost criminal.

I could see Indiana Jones working quite well as a Telltale style adventure game. A good mix of story, character, some puzzles and a little action here and there. Maybe even a remake of 'Fate of Atlantis'?

A proper story-based Rainbow Six & Ghost Recon:FS sequel
A decent Operation Flashpoint (DR was phenomenally hard; RR was just frakked up)
A next-gen Trek Elite Force or BC (even a Legacy that didn't have such stupid maps or controls)

Games I wish they'd make..

TimeSplitters - Too many COD clones and not enough Rare clones!
Panzer Dragoon - Orta was pretty good, but it would be great to see one of these in HD.
Leisure Suit Larry - It makes me laugh. I know that's immature but the heart wants what the heart wants.
Castlevania - And none of this Symphony of the Night stuff. I want Castlevania III style also.
Alan Wake - The first one was great, and the DLC game was good as well.
Perfect Dark 2 - This would be pretty much in place of TimeSplitters. I want this gameplay style and am pretty much ok with it being continued in either series.
Resident Evil - I want an actual survival horror game. It's been 15 years!

and yes, Half Life 3 of course. Can't believe I'll be playing Shenmue 3 before Half Life 3. Who'd a thunk it.
