Speaking of soundtracks, Ramin Djawadi did his usual bang up job with music in the latest episode. I especially liked the music for the scene right after the dragon went under water, and we see sad and shocked faces of Dany, Jorah and others (great acting by Ian Glen too). Also the music for the scene with Benjen and Jon.

Vox published an excellent article on Sansa's character in light of events in season seven.

In that article, the author links to a Reddit theory about what's going on between Arya and Sansa, a theory that makes a lot of sense to me.

I proposed a similar theory earlier in this thread. The show runners are trying too hard to make us worry about Sansa or Arya, but the conflict between them doesn't work for me. If anyone is going to get frakked it would be LF.

I seem to be the only person who doesn't have a problem with how that situation was presented...assuming Arya isn't being completely hoodwinked by Littlefinger.

A.V. Club has their weekly dead pool odds up. Considering what happened in last season's finale, I expect at least a few bodies to drop. How sweet would it be to have Littlefinger's machinations and his life ended by a child (well, child in the books, young woman in the series)?

Here's hoping we finally get Cleganebowl!

And I'll be shocked if the Wall doesn't fall as the final scene of the finale.

I wonder if the Mountain is going to be used as Cersei's means of undermining Jon's argument about the danger of the Night King. Jon mentions that the Night King can resurrect the dead, and she brings out the Mountain and essentially says "Yeah, so?"

Not sure what he point would be if she did. One sort of zombie vs. hundreds of thousands of zombies controlled by an immortal demi-god isn't much of a competition. Plus, I'm pretty sure Cersei just assumed the Mountain is brain damaged or something (like a certain beetle murdering cousin of her's), not actually an undead minion.

Personally, I think her argument is likely to be more in the vein of "I'll just wait until you're all dead and the Night King's forces weakened before finishing him off, thank you very much!"
Of course an ice dragon swooping in over King's Landing might put the kibosh on that notion....

I think the point is more that she won't be swayed by seeing one undead if she has her own. They want to use the one they captured to convince her that there is an army of thousands of them. If she has her own, she'll think Jon and Co. just produced their own like she did and won't buy into the idea that there is an army of thousands.

It's more a matter of how much the one undead they captured can persuade Cersei. Of course, I don't think Cersei is too concerned about saving humanity anyway and won't lift a finger to help even if she does believe them.

We also don't know that the Mountain is undead. But, I did wonder about this possibility like Locutus.

When is the last time we had a MAJOR death? Was it Hodor? We are due.......

Ayra kinda reminds me of Anakin Skywalker who started out as good person and is now consumed by the dark side. Ayra's desire for revenge has consumed her to the point where mass murder is fun for her, and she is threatening those she has loved before if there is even a whisper that it had something to do with here father getting killed. Darth Arya! LOL

I can see her ruining the parlay in going after Cersei.
