Spoilers Game of Thrones - Season 7

Yes, I think if the opening credits do show how they get around the wall it is a great disappointment. Maybe the producers are trying to trick people.

I thought that Bran coming south of the Wall after being touched by the Night King might have broken the magic spells on the wall and I think that would have been acceptable way for the Wall to be breached.

And the show finally does what I've been both hoping for, and fearing, since it began.

Pitting characters I've come to love against each other, forcing me to me make rapid fire decisions about who I want to live most, and then tearing at my heart.

They absolutely nailed hitting me with that hammer of dread watching the battle unfold.

Felt like I held my breath for 15 minutes straight.

Can't wait for more.

Hugo - superb stuff all round

I found this in a GoT Wiki and i'm no book expert but doesn't this mean he may have been present but not actually in the room when Lyanna told Ned the secret. Once Ned stepped out with baby Jon he might have started to put two and two together (either as a theory of Rhaegar raping Lyanna or there being an actual love relationship). However we haven't seen anything about Reed in the show so my money is on Bran spilling the beans...

I mean, it's possible Howland was dim enough to not put 2 and 2 together when Ned goes inside the tower where his sister is without a baby, and then comes out again with a baby and his sister being dead, but... seems unlikely. ;)

Here's the thing: he didn't dismiss her exactly. He was just dispassionate about her leaving to return to her family, just as he was dispassionate about Sansa's wedding night and Arya's list.
I also don't think he's detaching himself from humanity exactly; as Meera said, in a very real sense Bran never made it out of that cave. The person who was Bran has been subsumed by the Three-Eyed-Raven. Maybe in time he'll come back to the surface, but for now I think his near omnipotent vision means it's all too much for him to focus on the little things.

In terms of his perspective, I think he's pretty much in the same boat as Dr. Manhattan. He tries to be polite, but people are too small for him to really grip the nuances and too trivial for him to care.

It still sucks for Meera of course.

Good points. And I think it's worth noting that it probably wasn't Bran trying to be dismissive but that's how it came across to Meera. And if the show goes there, she could be a person that still brings Bran back to the surface.

In regards to Bran... The OG Three Eyed Raven seemed like a pretty cool cat. So,

I'm still holding out hope that Daenarys decides to come with the dragons to help Jon fight the Night King's army of the dead at Eastwatch at the last minute when they're on the verge of defeat, seemingly turning things around by destroying much of his armies with fire.

In the battle one of their wight giants takes down one of the two lesser dragons with their massive bows and arrows, which would be as powerful as Maester Kyburn's "Scorpion" ballista.

Then the Night King resurrects the dragon as one of his wight mounts (like the dead horses) and rides it to the Wall like a Nazghul, where he melts a section of the Wall with blue fire from the zombie dragon and the army of the dead pours through the gap since Bran passing the Wall broke the magical spells preventing their crossing.

Have we ever seen the army of the dead use archers? I don't recall.
I'm not saying it's impossible and those giant bows would certainly do the job, it's just that so far the undead have been entirely chasey-stabby.

I don't believe so. It's been strictly axes and swords as far as I can recall, though we haven't seen the wight giants in action yet. I suppose the White Walkers themselves might come up with some method of taking the dragons down, or one of the dragons may get too close to the ground and a giant (or two) grabs it.

I just really, really want to see a zombie dragon. It would be the only way I'd be happy for one of them to die, if it were in such an epic fashion and brought down part of the Wall.

I think a more likely scenario is if one gets forced down somehow, it would just get swarmed and torn to pieces.

While that would be cool, I'm not sure it would work. Dragons are at least partially magical creatures and they appear to be diametrically opposed to the white walkers. I suspect their necromancy would have no effect on dragonbone.

I don't think it's a coincidence that another word for obsidian in this world is "dragon glass" or that Valyrian steel which was supposedly forged in dragon fire has the same effect on them. Or that when the Targaryens fled whatever the hell obliterated old Valyria, they just so happened to build their stronghold on a mountain of dragon glass, that now looks like it may have been a stronghold during the Long Night. Plus of course they were somehow created with the stuff. Clearly there's a direct connection of some kind.

Yeah, that was a real Dickon move.

I think Jaime may have purposely mispronounced Dickon as Rickon so that Bronn can have a laugh at Samwell's brother saying his own name.

Absolutely. First time was an honest mistake. This time? You know he wanted Bronn's take on it.

When Rickon Stark was captured by Ramsay Bolton, Sue Perkins on Thronecast asked (inspired by Theon) "will Rickon keep his dick on?"

Side Note:

Im watching several reaction videos for some shows and the most recent ones for this episode was off the charts, especially one from a bar called Burlington (they went nuts with the battle at the end, especially when Drogon began torching Lannisters )

Another good one is a group of girls who are apparently big Jaime fans so when he decided to charge a Dragon see what happens (at around the 12:50 mark)

Good thing i'm usually home alone when watching these shows because my reactions may be as crazy as these sometimes :p
