I will say my least favorite episodes of the Comedy Central and Hulu eras are the ones that directly comment on the awfulness of current events, whether environmental, social, or political.

Don't get me wrong, science fiction has always been used as a platform to discuss such issues but Futurama has never been subtle on its commentary and I much rather it focus on the wacky space and time adventures with heartbreaking resonances. That has always been the show's greatest strength.

Absolutely, the heart of the show for me is the characters and wild and wacky universe they’ve created. I’m all here for the wacky space and time adventures!

I'm almost caught up. We've got some classics from the last season like the new Robot Santa one and then the worst ever Futurama episode ever with the toy anthology.

Just out of curiosity, what is the spoiler policy for shows where the whole season is put online at once, but it airs weekly on TV? I was going ask if the people who've seen the whole season to use spoiler boxes for those of us watching weekly on FXX, but then I realized I wasn't sure what the actual rules were on that.

That's why I've kept my commentary to broad descriptions and spoiler coding actual spoilers.

I've long since learned putting all of my thoughts behind spoiler boxes (even broken down into sections with basic labels) are easily ignored for season dumps (Umbrella Academy, Stranger Things, etc.).

Which is why whenever it's one of my own threads, I switch the thread tag to Spoiler and that allows people to talk openly.

"Wicked Human" was probably my least favorite. While I liked the initial premise of Farnsworth dealing with his frustration with religion in contrast to science (another stark reminder of reality), I wasn't enthralled by how the episode played out and the ultimate revelation fell flat for me (but, again, I get the reason for it).

Yeah, I kind of felt that way too. Futurama has never shied away from poking fun at religion, but I felt like past episodes did it much better and in a more funny way. My personal favorite is probably Calculon's resurrection.
