Fuller House teaser trailer

Without remakes we wouldn't have 1939's Wizard of Oz or 1956's Ten Commandments. The Maltese Falcon was made twice before we got the 1941 version. Some Like it Hot is also a remake. Some consider the 2010 remake of True Grit to be superior to the classic 1969 version. Remake isn't a dirty word.

Okay fine. Some remakes are good. But if they ever remake The Sound Of Music, I'll have to hurt somebody!

Because you just can't replace Julie Andrews.

Sorry to break it to you, but they did a live TV version a while back with Carrie Underwood as Maria. Before it was a film, it was an award winning Broadway show starring Mary Martin as Maria. It's been revived on Broadway and elsewhere many times since.

You didn't see the (US) televised live show with Carrie Underwood and Stephen Moyer a couple years ago?

A new (UK) televised live show for the Sound of Music came out a couple days ago.

I'm assuming that both live shows used identical books and scores, and it's now a travelling global franchise, which is very similar to the stage show, and very frankly considering the Sound of Music is biographical it's not like a producer can play with the concept very much like setting a very similar story during a different war in a different era without broaching the limits of good taste.

Oh yeah... I remember hearing about it, seeing the commercials. Good God, where is my brain?

I wasn't aware that it was a Broadway show. I really should have known this.

Apparently the pilot is a reunion episode and will feature everyone, Jesse will be in one other episode. So it looks like I will only be watching two episodes.

So. much. long. highlighted. wavy. hair.

Wasn't Danny in a pretty good long-term relationship by the time the show ended? Are we to assume both he and Joey have been hetero lifemates for the last 20 years?

They cast a new love-interest for Danny. I don't remember if they were married or not.

It's not the woman from the latter seasons of the show.

Her name was Vicky. They were engaged but she broke it off to move to New York (I think) for a job.

In Fuller House, Danny is remarried to a woman named Terri.
