I don't get the Michelle hate either. Yes, she was a spoiled brat. But I always thought that was kind of the point. The three "dads" bonded over her after a tragedy and probably grew extra attached.
Obviously, they were trying to go for a Marsha/Jan/Cindy thing. And Cindy often played the "I'm cute. Gimme stuff!" card.
Yeah I agree. It feels like a 2.0 version. Jesse, Danny, and Joey were great!
Yeah. This worries me too.
I think GMW gets it right--at least once you get past the super saccharine Disney Channel of it all.
It's its own thing but still keeps the spirt of BMW. There are enough call-backs to keep the nostalgia bones tickled, but not so many that it becomes overbearing.
While Shawn has only appeared on screen a handful of times, Strong (and his brother) have directed a good third of the episodes so far, and they all have captured the essence of what made BMW great.
It's too bad Elizabeth Olsen couldn't have played Michelle.
I suggested that in the old thread. I think she'd be a better fit now, anyway.
As I said, she looks more like you'd expect older Michelle to look like. And of course, she's a much better actor.
Apparently, Michelle is in New York.
"Designing clothes" and married to someone twice her age?
I think what feels off about this trailer is the music. Slow country music with slide guitar? Would have been better off cracking out the Full House theme. The country music just doesn't fit. Nevermind the fact that country music was never part of the theme in the show, while Rock was. It's all about setting the mood.
I get that maybe they don't have the right to use the theme, but they could have at least tried to use something more suitable.
I agree 100%.
I wonder if this is a Bure thing? While she doesn't seem like she's half the crackpot her brother is (at least not openly), she's definitely had her moments and I wouldn't put it past her to lobby against the
Devil's music. Because country is so much more wholesome...
