I'm not sure how I feel about this knowing that the show will center on D.J. and her kids but I'll probably check it out for the possible cameos.

I thought I was going to be more interested in this than I am, but I'm not really feeling it. Odd, that, since this show aired right smack in the middle of my childhood.

Yeah I agree. It feels like a 2.0 version. Jesse, Danny, and Joey were great! D.J. and Stephanie? Not so much. I'm not sure even the Gibbler can make me sit through the entire thing.

I just want to see Jesse, Joey, and Danny!

    Have mercy!

This! I didn't care much for D.J. as she was boring, and Stephanie was fun but didn't get as much screentime (though that may be because I had a crush on her at the time. We were both about the same age). Kimmy? She was the funniest of the group, and I'm hoping she will be again, but several decades will change you.

I watched it for Joey, Jesse, and Danny. Oh, and Comet. I love dogs. So now we have a story about the least interesting Tanner and her kids? Eh, not feeling it.

Still, I'll watch a few episodes and see if I get into it. I owe it that much.

Same. It was all about those three, and Kimmy! I also really loved Jesse and Michelle's relationship. It was so sweet:adore:

Once Nicky and Alex were born, the show kind of lost me a bit.

Yep! Same here. I felt that was the beginning of the end.

I always liked Stephanie and D.J. And Kimmie's ok too I guess ;) So I'm on board with the premise.

I just wish the Olsen twins were involved in some way. It won't be the same without Michelle.

Apparently, Michelle is in New York.

    What about the identical cousin?

    Just to underline.

    This is Netflix.

A full season is dropping on the first day.

    Melina?

She's probably still living in Greece.

It's too bad Elizabeth Olsen couldn't have played Michelle.

I never really liked Joey but the character I hated with a passion was Michelle, she was kinda cute as a baby (in a troll doll way) but as soon as she learned to talk she became an egocentric, selfish brat who got everything she ever wanted. I hated how all adults jumped at the chance to do her bidding, I hated how the audience oooohd and aaaahd every time she opened her mouth, I hate how she became Princess of the day at Disney World when it would have been Stephanie if not for one of Michelle's tantrums as if she isn't already princess of tanner gouse every day of the year!

As a kid I thought Stephanie was the best but I also liked Kimmy (who really was the funniest looking back), I liked Danny best out of the guys, I also liked Becky a lot when they added her.

I'm a little bit worried that the new show will be too similar to the old one, the premise is completely identical. Maybe it would have been better if both DJ and Kimmy were married and their families (including husbands) moved in for financial reasons or make the dad's gay and a couple and in a cheesy Full House way have them all decide to blend the families so that the kids can live with both parents.
the dad's would have lived in the attic, DJ in Danny's old room, Kimmy in Jessie's, her daughter in Michelle's, DJ's sons would share DJ and Stephanie's old room. Stephanie gets the basement. It fits perfectly as if the house was made for all of them.

Did they have to rebuild the set, or was the set in storage, it looks the same to me visually.

It wasn't until I started visiting the Full House IMDB boards that I realized this opinion about Michelle existed. I never had a problem with her as a character, but than again I was just a kid when I watched the show. Since the news broke of this revival I got the first two seasons but in those Michelle is too young to talk, so I haven't witnessed the Tanner's bending over backwards for her yet.

I almost feel as if they could have done a spinoff for Jesse, with his band taking off bigtime as we follow him as he travels. But at the time, John Stamos was touring with the Beach Boys, so I don't think it would have been possible. I'd at least like to hear mention of some measure of success for them.

I think what feels off about this trailer is the music. Slow country music with slide guitar? Would have been better off cracking out the Full House theme. The country music just doesn't fit. Nevermind the fact that country music was never part of the theme in the show, while Rock was. It's all about setting the mood.

I get that maybe they don't have the right to use the theme, but they could have at least tried to use something more suitable.

I never knew about the Michelle hate either. I always liked her but then again I was pretty much the same age as her so that might be a reason.

I would be ALL in for a Jesse spinoff! Jesse and the Rippers forever... "And ever! I'd be so happy loving you."

I just had to add that line in:)

From what I've read, they did rebuild the set, and the exterior of the house as well. The owners of the actual house didn't want them filming on their property.

I don't get the Michelle hate either. Yes, she was a spoiled brat. But I always thought that was kind of the point. The three "dads" bonded over her after a tragedy and probably grew extra attached.

Obviously, they were trying to go for a Marsha/Jan/Cindy thing. And Cindy often played the "I'm cute. Gimme stuff!" card.

    Yeah. This worries me too.

I think GMW gets it right--at least once you get past the super saccharine Disney Channel of it all.

It's its own thing but still keeps the spirt of BMW. There are enough call-backs to keep the nostalgia bones tickled, but not so many that it becomes overbearing.

While Shawn has only appeared on screen a handful of times, Strong (and his brother) have directed a good third of the episodes so far, and they all have captured the essence of what made BMW great.

I suggested that in the old thread. I think she'd be a better fit now, anyway.

As I said, she looks more like you'd expect older Michelle to look like. And of course, she's a much better actor.

"Designing clothes" and married to someone twice her age?

    I agree 100%.

I wonder if this is a Bure thing? While she doesn't seem like she's half the crackpot her brother is (at least not openly), she's definitely had her moments and I wouldn't put it past her to lobby against the Devil's music. Because country is so much more wholesome...

I looked up Olsen twins 2015 on google, and other than looking like what a regular persons face appears as a reflection in a spoon, I'm not sure what the problem is?

Remember when they had both actresses who played Darlene on Rosanne switching out randomly to screw with the audience? They did something similar on Til Death far more recently, but hardly still what I'd call recent.

If they looked dissimilar, and still shared the role, that would be hilarious.

Which would be really odd given the fact that John Stamos and the band got back together to do the theme music on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, I think it was, awhile back, which is sort of how interest in a spinoff occurred. If anyone were to have music input on this, it would be him, not her. He was the one to sing the main theme on the show, afterall.

Even if that weren't the case, anyone involved in the production would know that Country is just off-kilter to the themes in the show. Kind of feels like whoever put the trailer together wasn't familiar with it enough. Even just a random rock song would have been better than the current choice. Even a Beach Boys song, given the connections would have been better.
