For whom would you name a Starfleet ship?

William Nelson Joy.

Probably one of the patron saints of the most widespread faith found in the Star Trek Universe: the Church of the Luddite. Bound to be a ship named after him to remind them what they're fighting to suppress.

USS Lovecraft (Ships Motto: Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn!)

USS Chuck Norris (assuming a ship powerful enough could ever be constructed)

USS William T Sherman (A dreadnought, of course)
USS Ulysses S. Grant
USS Hornblower
USS Jules Verne
USS Jonas Grumby

USS Pavarotti
Honoring the single greatest human voice
in the history of planet Earth... "E lucevan le stella"
:techman:

Martin Luther King. John F. Kennedy. Robert F. Kennedy. Nelson Mandela. Elizabeth II. Boris Yeltsin. Mackenzie King. Winston Churchill. Franklin D. Roosevelt. George Orwell/Eric Blair. Pierre Trudeau. Golda Mier. Yitzak Rabin. Anna Politkovskaya. Bob Woodward & Carl Bernstein. Aung San Suu Kyi. Morris Dees. Robert L. Bernstein.

Let me guess...You're currently flustered over the in-fighting in the Dem Party, aren't you?

:p

Yeah Elizabeth II and Winston Churchill are such bleeding hearts. :D

I'd name it the USS Carl Sagan! How about the USS Bill Adama? He's a real person, sorta...

USS Rick Berman

USS Brannon Braga

Those are the derelict ships Starfleet uses for target practice.

I would so get a kick out of a ship getting christened as the USS Wong Fei-Hung.

Preferably either as a Defiant or Prometheus-class.

Hmm lets see.

Von Braun. The man responsible for the Space Race and all that come from it.

Goethe.

Guttenberg. The man who invented the Printing Press. One of THE most important inventions in the history of mankind and unlike the Chinese who invented it earlier then he did. His actually had an impact on the world.
