"First Contact" - The rape of Riker

The forgotten Voyager Halloween episode?

It happened.

JANEWAY: It's not that simple. We can't just walk into the prison without weapons.
(Janeway watches the pair of women walk past.)
JANEWAY: Maybe we'll have to try a different strategy.

...

GUARD: Three more hours. There's nothing going on around here. Wake me if the Lieutenant shows up, will you?
(Janeway approaches, skirt split to the thigh and hair loose.)
GUARD: You girls aren't supposed to come down here any more.
JANEWAY: Do you want me to leave?
GUARD: I didn't say that.
JANEWAY: Then I won't.
GUARD: If my Lieutenant saw you here I'd be in trouble.
JANEWAY: Nobody will see us back here. It's dark. Private.

Later, even though it was backstory and didn't actually happen, WWII B'Elanna was pretending to be in love with the holographic German officer she was having sex with, to steal intelligence, and got preggers, and then probably didn't dangerously abort the baby 1940s style, to maintain the charade that she's into the NAZI.

Either the holokraut was lied to so well that it was misrepresentation, or he knew that she was lying, and did not care so long as he got some action, so this could be the very rare "double misrepresentation" even though it was an implanted memory, and one of them was a hologram.

Was that scene with Janeway played for laughs? From what little I've gathered, I'm not sensing a comedic intention.

Don't like Germans much, do ya?

I googled to see how offensive the word was.

50/50?

But it's time line specific and he's a NAZI.

..

While googling I bumped into the slur "Hienie" which is short for Heinrich.

Sounded too much like "bum" and it would have gotten confusing.

I'm now remembering "Fritz" which seems a little less offense.

Getting back to the episode, I think that Riker could have pinched her cheeks, tweaked her nose, counted her ribs, massaged her toes, spun around three times, muttered some obscure Latin text, and then explained afterwards "that's how our species make love". I mean, who's she gonna check with? ;)

That's what I thought, who knows what kind of stuff Riker claimed was the human way to make love.

OTOH, maybe Riker used the situation to fulfil his weirdest fantasies that even the holodeck refused to create....

Well, maybe there was an additional element to those Klingon exercise holodeck adventures he went on with Worf... after killing Yellow Skull Guy, maybe they had to face a band of growling Klingon women.

So a German hobo could be both a Hienie and a bum?
