    Either way, it was written for laughs and, based on comments I get from people who misattribute the writing to me, it gets them pretty reliably to this day. People love Neuwirth.

    Material of this nature that was "written for laughs" in 1990 may not elicit laughter (or as much laughter, clearly) in 2022. Again: flip the sexes and we wouldn't be having this conversation.
