- I love the horizontal lines as shading for her hair (and as used as shading for some of the other characters, but this one is really dramatic).

- I love the horizontal lines as shading for her hair (and as used as shading for some of the other characters, but this one is really dramatic).

The eyes are actually the first place I start with all of my drawings. They’re kinda the key to making sure everything looks right, so naturally I end up putting a little extra time and effort on them. Thanks for noticing!

The line shading is based on how she was originally drawn in the manga, but I’ve ended up adopting it as a style when I’m too lazy to use my Prismacolors or copic markers for shading.

Had a bit of a creative block this week for some reason, so only a couple of drawings. Even on the writing front, I've barely made any progress on finishing the first draft script for the ninth episode of EVA-Trek... and I set a deadline for myself for that in 6 days. Christmas vacation can't come soon enough!

Been a busy and productive week at Studio Firebird during the holiday vacation, generating daily sketches, and getting worked ahead on initial notes and concepts through episode 17 of EVA-Trek, which (if my production schedule holds out) sets me up through October's script!
