I feel this is on point. Anger drives a lot of behavior and makes it so people feel in control of those things outside of their control.I'm not convinced a lot of these people ever really liked Star Trek but just want to be upset or angry about everything and have nothing better to do at this point.
Because, ultimately, they don't want a show like TNG. They want TNG back exactly the same, unaltered without question. A similar attitude can be found in people who have "dream spouses or partners" and struggle when those people inevitably change.Some of his points make no sense. He complains the show isn't like TNG but then insults the writers for having "memberberry" callbacks to the older shows. Wouldn't making a show just like TNG be the ultimate memberberry?
