If I may hijack my own thread, there was some debate recently about what the impetus was for Kirk's green wraparound tunic. I think I remembered reading it was created as another visual cue to tell the Kirks part in The Enemy Within? Am I remembering right?

Kirk has uniforms stashed all over the ship.That's right. The first appearance of a green wraparound was in "The Enemy Within," and it was apparently created to help us tell the two Kirk's apart.
It's next use was in "Charlie X," where it led to a huge continuity gaff as Kirk got on the elevator in the wraparound but arrived on the bridge in the gold tunic.
