Custom uniform question

I created this mess dress:

and this service dress uniform:

Currently, the mess dress uniform has the MOS pin on the shoulder stripe, where TWOK had rank insignia. My service dress keeps the pips there, but I was wondering, should I just go back to cuff rank stripes and use the shoulder stripe for the MOS on service dress also? So the cuff would be red, but with the gold braiding on it, similar to TOS (just with TNG/GEN rank stripes - gold or gold with a black stripe through for half-pips).

I'm just wondering what y'all think, as this would make the uniforms more consistent and a little more naval, which is what I'm going for, but I don't have anything against the pips themselves either.

I would keep consistency in some way. I like the MOS pin on the shoulder strap and rank braids on the cuffs. Maybe do that for both.

Also, I think the Starfleet arrowhead being on the left breast AND the belt buckle is a little redundant. I'd get rid of the belt buckle emblem there. (Just my personal preference).

Otherwise, those look great!
