In the episodes I listed above: "The Enterprise Incident", "Face of the Enemy", and "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges", they all involve Romulans. I think they'd be such a good fit for the series, I'd like if Georgiou returns to 2266 instead of 2258, so nothing from "Balance of Terror" would apply. You also have eight years for Tyler to set up his version of Section 31 that way, so it would already be established by the time Georgiou comes back. An eight-year difference would also provide cover to make Tyler into a better character, next time we'd see him.

I'd like to see how Carol Marcus' dad fits into Sec.31 in this timeline, too.

Why is his shirt tucked in just above the belt buckle, but the rest of it isn't?

Yes, that's where my attention goes when I look at that picture.

I'm 29 and I don't get modern fashion. Especially the tongue of his shoe and how his laces are apparently not tied. How does he not trip over his own feet? Those shoes must be loose as hell.

It kind of reminds me of Back To The Future Part II with the cool kids in 2015 wearing their jeans with pockets inside out.

I can't join in and pile on when it comes to modern fashion. I think back to stuff I used to wear in junior high and high school, along with some of the hairstyles I used to have, and wonder "What the Hell was I thinking?"

The second closest option in the poll, I see, is "both" - and it's 34 points behind Pike Only (or Pike Instead Of). All options allowing for a Section 31 combined poll only about 22.

That's kind of remarkable, less for the enthusiasm shown about Pike than for the lack of interest in S31.

Dennis. No one cares.

Yup, first thing I noticed were those shoes and I'm just baffled. Looks so uncomfortable.
While I too don't get the appeal of wearing one's shoes like that, it is something I've seen done for years. And it's not just a modern fashion thing, my parents (in their sixties) also insist on wearing their shoes like that.

The excuse I often hear is "I don't have time to tie the laces." Then don't wear shoes with laces.

I don't care if Section 31 even lasts only one season. It's one more season than people who can't stand the concept of its very existence want.

But anyway, onto something I find much more interesting at the moment than what someone else is talking about...

That is interesting. I've never seen anyone passed their 20s wear shoes that way, IRL.

There is no reason we can't have both.

Will be interesting to see the direction the scripts go.

Would be great if we could see S31 go up against the Tal'Shiar and Obsidian Order, similar to what we see in shows like Alias and films like the Bourne series or James Bond.

I am one of those who really liked the S31 storylines in DS9 and are hopeful for its future, looks like we will have to sit a while though, filming for S31 won't start until Disco S3 is done.

Oh, I've seen it done for many, many, years. I used to work in retail with shoe sales. Personally, I would just get elastic athletic laces and make it easier to slip on and off.

it's been pointed out somewhere, elsewhere, but every time the two actors are juxtaposed it looks like it needs to be captioned "I was like whoa.. and then I was like WHOA"

I used to wear Velcro shoes because I agree tying laces can be tedious. Then my job required me to wear steel toes. And while it is annoying having to tie laces, I can't stand walking around with loose shoes on.
