Music sounds like it belongs in an epic movie.
Ent shots didn't look as good as I expected, but the Kelvin ones do.
Biggest surprise was Bana, who is a nonpresence for his whole career in my mind. For some reason, he registered well.
Enlist in Starfleet? Do you enlist in the academy, or do you apply to it? I mean, y'know, all that 'no enlisted man' stuff in GR's thing?
Not going to get into the planetsuck or the ship built on earth thing, have just come off days of 102 fever. Overall a better trailer than I expected.

I liked it and I'm pretty sure that the imploding effect is exactly what they wanted, didn't seem wrong to me - its as if a singularity were swallowing the planet which I think is Vulcan.
Its alot slower then the other trailers so you can process more of it as well.

Just wait a couple minutes and it should load, same thing happened to me.
This trailer is actually pretty good quality, I don't think it's a cam.
By the way, I'm not sure it's breaking board rules to post the trailer before it's up though...

Some great lines there, some really awkwardly delivered ones too, mostly notably Uhura's. Spock sounds a little shaky, heard enough lines now that it's not just their context, and Nero continues to reek of cheese.
Visually the film looks phenomenal, although I agree that the implosion of Vulcan (or whatever) isn't particularly convincing. Then again, we don't have any real points of reference for something like that.

I downloaded it. I can make captures of it but will refrain for another day. Wow it was familiar but new and totally blew me away. The solidness and reality of the starships and scope of the FX is like nothing we've seen on ST before. I honestly think it will blow the newer Star Wars films out of the water for authentic space adventure.

AMAZING trailer.
The final shot of the Kelvin under attack made my jaw drop. STUNNING camera work. In fact all the space visual effects shots are incredible looking.
Really great trailer, a lot better paced. Wow.

Visually, it's very cool.
But I have to say that based on what I saw and heard, it is once again a case of Hollywood either (1) not understanding how a (para)military organization (with an attached academy) functions in terms of ranks and relationships, or (2) not giving a damn about the same in the interest of "telling a ripping good yarn."
Either 1 or 2, if actually correct, will severely detract from my being able to appreciate the film.
Visually, it's very cool.

Btw, do you know that warp drive and transporters are probably impossible technologies? My suggestion, just watch the damn movie before you let the small stuff ruin it for you.

My God, that's what a trailer should look like. I am frakkin' bowled over, man. I got chills when he sits in that center seat, presumably for the very first time. I also liked the scene where Uhura says 'I hope you know what you're doing' to which Kirk replies, 'So do I.'
I gotta watch this thing again.

Personally I think the planet imploding looks cool, and I imagine in the context of the film, with sound effects, drama etc... it will work very well.
The shot of the Ent approaching the Narada, is that upside down, camera wise?
Spock hugging Uhura looked great
Sulu running his hands through his hair? mmmkay?
I loved the bit where Kirk gives Uhura the thumbs up type gesture in the shuttlecraft, followed by her smile.
I seriously can't get over these space visual effects, like nothing we've seen in Trek and they blow even the Star Wars prequels completely out of the water. Stunning. Nero's FIRE EVERYTHING! gave me goosebumps, excellent.
Oh and that's not really a torpedo cam in the last shot. IT just happens to be a camera that's following the missles closely from behind. That final shot was the best in the trailer I think, the way it syncs perfectly with the music, and the jaw dropping timing between the camera spinning and the Kelvin firing it's phasers. Wow. Beautiful stuff.
