Really? I can't seem to find images of it on the Saratoga bridge? The nurse station was also used for Tactical on the Saratoga bridge (the one from Emissary). As for this standing console from TWoK, I don't particularly recognize it from anywhere else.
I was just thinking that. Anytime I have to study screengrabs of DS9, it's painfully obvious how due it is for a remaster.I so want them to remaster DS9. I wonder if we'll ever get it...![]()
You probably mean a 1971 Syzygy (later Atari) Computer Space, like this one. That engineering console reminds me of a few 70's era arcade cabinets, but searches didn't turn up anything.
My last attempt at the Refit engine room, I'd gotten the width of the shaft too wide, but I'm correcting things using the blueprints that surfaced since my last time around.
That looks like the machine from Soylent Green.
Real. Even though I did model my TOS engine room with the forced perspective “cathedral” behind the grating to preserve the way it looked from many on-screen angles, I just don’t see the point of making the Refit horizontal intermix shaft forced perspective, since the illusion was much stronger in TMP/TWOK and we only ever saw it from the correct angle.I'm sure someone asked this (and, um, I totally know, I'm just asking for the benefit of others) but are you making it forced perspective or "real"?
Yes. One of those appeared in Soylent Green. The one in this photo is the #1 unit. That looks like the machine from Soylent Green.
That still looks futuristic. The real computer tech we have now look like kitchen appliances
Thanks! I've updated the core effects and I'm much happier with it now. I'll have to take a video soon. Still not perfect (I doubt I'll be able to get it screen-accurate), but better IMO.Finally able to spend time in front of the PC and watch the images in HD. Amazing work Donny, on the core effects and the console reproductions!
