Your first link doesn't work (but that doesn't matter for me since I've seen that Confidential episode). As for the second link, you're a big fat party pooper, Tim. :p

Y'know, his screwdriver is pretty faithful too.

I can see a horrid, star trekian phasing accident where Donna and Rose get combined into a single person called Rhonda.

:guffaw::guffaw:

The doctor will spend one christmas special debating as to whether he should split this new being or keep it.

Actually with the experimental teleport tech "project indigo" I wouldn't put it pass RTD to do this.
you laugh, but I I could kind of see RTDs doing that, only I hope they stay combined.

What still gets me is Caans three-fold-man mention.

WTF could that possibly mean, it could mean one of anything you could ever think of, but still, three-fold-man?
As Mr. Awe suggested earlier:

I'm still uncertain about the "three-fold man" bit. :p

I'm guessing it refers to a past, present, and future Doctor all being in one place/time simultaneously. It'll take 3 Doctors to resolve this mess.

Mr Awe

Funny you should quote that, ive been back-tracking through the thread as i havnt been here for a few days and i saw Awe's reply a few minutes ago.

That makes better sense, actually than my reasoning of a multi-regeneration-split where he could either be a mix of three previous regens or physically split into three with the Tardis, acting as a kind of data storage, re-animates previous regens back into physical form as if they hadnt regenerated.

Or...

heres my idea from an earlier post, and its kind of a shot in the dark here, it could be The Master forcibly regneratiing into the Doctors body in a different form. Taking over The Doctor or something or other, i dunno, i can wish.

Just a thought.

Although, out of the whol episode, this has to be the best part...

Davros: "Your voice is different, but its arrogance is unchanged"

Absolutely brilliant.

I've been thinking about this episode and one thing that keeps striking out at me was when they were in the Shadow Proclamation and the woman noticed the bug on Donna's back. I hope that scene isn't forgotten in the finale.

I thought this was a truly great episode! I'm glad that they brought Rose back as I think she added a ton the episode. Her dialouge was well played and the hint on jelousy and annoyance at Martha on the subwave network didn't bother me. I don't think she was jealous because the Doctor had another companion, she knew about Donna and she appeared to like her, even admire her a litte. She was more annoyed as she did the impossible and and crossed through universes and instead still couldn't join in the Doctor's army. Like her or lump her, she did earn her place in that mini army. :p

I liked the Doctor/Rose reunion at the end. After all their story was essentially a love story and Rose admitted she was in love with him in the end of Doomsday so a scene like that really did have to be in there. I just hope the Doctor finally say's he loves her before the inevidable tragic ending that's no doubt going to send me diving into my tissue box!
I hope that Martha and Rose actually meet. After Martha hating Rose for so long having never actually met her, I really hope that Martha shows some emotion towards her (even just the cold shoulder.)

The episode was a little jammed which was a shame. With so many guest characters it would have been nice if they all could have had more screen time. I suppose the rushed feel helped create the sense of urgency for the audience. Overall one of the best episodes in a while. :techman:

It was more of a crush, which made it a bit irritating to bring it back with a run to each others arms. I'm glad the Dalek was there to bring us back down to (the Stolen) Earth

Yay go Dalek!

Also bad Dalek for shooting the wrong one!

[Flexo] Nah I'm just kidding, Rose is ok [/flexo]

She travelled with him for two years, kissed him a couple of times, saved his life every now and again and proclaimed her love for him at the end! That's more than a crush. The way her kept mentioning her reguarly for 2 years also says that he loved her too and that he realised how much he missed her once she was gone. The fact that she punched through a universe or two to see him again two years after he told her she could never see him again obviously means that she never stopped thinking about him. Plus there's been this air of Rose being the most important companion to him for ages. She's special :p It will probably be the last time they ever get to see eachother and last time they did see eachother he'd just been about to tell her he loved her. Neither of them thought it was possible to ever see other again and then they were both standing there, alive and well (not for long though ;):() It was a miracle:lol:. They had to hug like that!!!

^ Shall we get you a bucket??

Anyways I might watch the episode again sometime tomorrow, before I watch Journey's End on Sunday morning.

I find it hilarious that the Daleks told us that he loved Rose before most of accepted it as a possibility since his feet shrinking to fit his new shows (inside the first 16 hours of his regeneration allows for some last minute modifications.) was more interesting to the doctor than kissing Kate, and all the beautiful woman dangling off him before that had been quite stunning despite having for the most part pathetic little human monkey brains...

But if he was just a kid when he was 90... And lets say Puberty started with 8 which will allow for his first Frankestienish grasps towards sexuality (When did he have kids who had Susan then?) it's only now as he's 10, that he begins to be capable of forming emotional bonds.

I think saying he was a kid at 90 goes a long way towards explaining how Doc 1 looked so old, and managed to live 860 years without regenerating.

Plus I dont know why he hangs around with humans anyway, 860 years on one life, then as soon as he starts letting humans hang with him, he loses another 8 lives in the next 40 years.

I never really saw how the good Doctor could form any sort of lasting relationship with humans, given how fleeting they are for the most part, mentally and physically.

I think it was down to timing. It's an age old story. Man whose entire race have been destoryed meets girl looking for a replacement father :p

4 said that he was only 750ish. Romana corrected him since he got it wrong and gave us his age baring vanity. Someone will throw the correct numbers about soon enough. but the general; accepted theory is that He and Romana could have had a hundred years worth of adventures easily with out either of them showing any outward effect... Meanwhile their was a hiccup in continuity at the end of Trial of a Time lord which could have lasted Decades even between Peri and Mel.

Lorien said it well that Humans are young enough to think that love is forever, meanwhile Q said that he wanted to live vicariously through Vash's nativity. Zeus on the other hand just had sex with them and moved on, or transformed into an animal and had sex with them again...

I just hope it's not a hint the whole thing is in an alternate reality, because that would be awful.

It's been awhile since I've done the math, but if you take his vanity, his few references of blue-box travel (both in the classic series and new series) and his highest claim all into account, his age should roughly 1200.

In The Ribos Operation, Romana says The Doctor is 759 and has been piloting the TARDIS for 523 years, meaning he was 236 years old when he stole the TARDIS. In Time and the Rani, The Doctor made the oldest age claim of 953 years and yet in the new series, his age has been refered to as ~900 years old. However, a few of those references have said he had been traveling in the TARDIS for 900 years, so I think it's safe to extrapolate that when he says he's 900 (or 903), his vanity is kicking in. With those numbers in mind, his age should be ~1200 years old.

Well, it would tie in with the Shadow Proclamation not being aware of higher events such as the Time War (sorry, that whole thing bugged me, how this universal/galactic police force could miss that one), how could they then see what was on Donna's back.

The 523 years comment came from The Androids Of Tara and I think that was just the Doctor's way of BSing for a bit of a rest.
