Discussion of 9 minute trailer

Re: Very iffy copy of 9 minute trailer

Heh, she laughed at the intended funny bits (Yes, Kirk and McCoy running through the red forest is intended to be a comedic beat) and screamed "Oh no no no no" at the end when it insinuates Spock is going to die. I don't think she was exactly taking anyone out of the intended experience - if anything she was lapping it up all too easily.

Are people moaning about her talking at all? Well in that case its a goddamned cameraphone vid on youtube thats A) Actually watchable and B) Has audio good enough you can hear 99% of the dialogue. As far as these things go, this is the blu ray of the filmed in the back of the cinema world :p

Re: Very iffy copy of 9 minute trailer

When I didn't watch the 9 minute trailer, I thought the commentary was adorable. She was obviously getting into it, which is something I would do. During the opening of ST09, I distinctly recall saying "take that you crazy ass son of a bitch!" when George Kirk plowed the Kelvin into the Narada. Several people behind me called out "Damn right!"

As for the movie itself, holy shit, it's going to blow the goddamned doors off of ST09!
Plus, when I saw the outline of the Enterprise underwater, I felt funny in my pants. :shifty:

That's why I will never go to these big premiere nights of any Trek.

Well, in all fairness, the only trek movie I had seen on the big screen up to that point was Star Trek: Nemesis, so the moment was very emotional for me.

Don't worry, J.

Robau was most pleased with you.

Re: Very iffy copy of 9 minute trailer

Robau granted me special dispensation. The "The" is optional on alternating Sundays.

"Walk with me?"

Oh, damn.

It was nice knowing all of you. Take care. :(

Re: Very iffy copy of 9 minute trailer

They better not kill Spock in their second film.

I could swear I've seen that somewhere before.

I guess the originality would be that in the third one he stays dead.
